Cuttin' and Stampin' 2014 Design Team Blog Hop

Welcome to my little corner of the Cuttin' and Stampin' Design Team Blog Hop!  I am super excited to have been selected for the 2014 Cuttin' and Stampin DT!  We have a very talented group of ladies so let's get this party moving along and HOP!

My post on the blog hop is a clean and simple card (CAS).  That's my style!  I love to use sketches and not too much fluff or bulk.  I use the same technique on scrapbook layouts as well.

Today's card is no exception.  Stamps are from Unity Stamp Co., the paper is Fancy Pants Childish Things.  I used Stampin Up ink and some Stampin Up ribbon in saffron.  I also modified a sketch from mojomonday.blogspot.com.

If you've stopped by my blog by chance, please go back to Michele's blog to start from the beginning!  Today's blog hop will showcase the Green Team:

January Blues!

Welcome back!!  The last week of January is here.....not sure where the time goes!  I know with all the snow and winter going on well north of me, it's easy to get the January blues......but here at Clear It Out Challenge, you could win a prize for being "blue!"

This week's challenge is brought to you by Lacy Sunshine.  The stash item is ribbon, twine or fibers and the theme is a color challenge to use blues.

I used shades of blue/green for my card.  It's Basic Grey Nordic Holiday and Bazzill Lagoon. The ribbon is also BG and the twine is Jillibean Soup.  The button is from my stash.  I used my Tombow Art markers to color in Twinkies Boo.  I also distressed the edges with TH Distress Ink in Walnut Stain.

Please get creating!  It will snap you out of the January Blues!  Also visit our sponsor Lacy Sunshine and get to thinking warm thoughts!

Copy Cat!

Hello again!  This week at Clear It Out Challange the theme is "COPY CAT!"  This means to go back and look through the Design Team photos and copy one of these designs.  Don't forget to give them credit! :)  The stash item is anything goes!!

My choice was an entry from my good friend Kathy.  Her card is below, but what I liked about it was the 4 different patterns/colors of washi tape.

My image is from Stitchy Bear - Digi Blessings.  Her name is Bunny Crew #2.  I used my Tombow Art Markers to color her in, the twine is an unknown brand.  The washi tape several different brands.....the butterfly and grey w/orange dot is My Minds Eye, the blue and white dot is Doodlebug.  The large orange dot is unknown.

Here is Kathy's card that I used as inspiration.

Please visit Stitchy Bear Outlet and show them some love!  Also visit our previous posts to find an inspiration to use on your own creation!

MFT - Sketch #159

My Favorite Things has great sketches!  I have quite the library of their sketches and use them from time to time.  This one is no exception!!

I used MME Market 6x6 and some red bazzill.  The sentiment is from Friskars Holiday Hooplah and the flower and brad are from my stash.

Here is the sketch!  Give it a try!!  It's super easy!!

Thanks MFT for the sketch!!!

Jenni :)

MyFavoriteThings - Color Palette Challenge #1

I stumbled across this color palette challenge at My Favorite Things and since they happen to be my absolute favorite colors together, I had to put my hat in the ring!!  This looks to be a new feature on MFT, this is Color Palette Challenge #1!!  Pink, black and white.  I, unfortunately, do not have any MFT stamps (yet), but sooner than later that may change!!

Here is my entry:

The black and white cardstocks and ribbon are from stash, the pink is a scrap of bazzill.  The sentiment is from Friskars Holiday Hooplah.

Thanks for the challenge, hoping to be back for #2!!

Layer it up!

This week's challenge at Clear It Out Challenge is to layer it up!  The stash item is to use designer paper for your layers.

This week's sponsor is StampArt by Kathryne.

This is called "stitched with love."  The background (polka-dot) paper is Making Memories Vintage Findings, the solid cardstock is Tim Holtz Kraft-Core and I used my Tombow Art Markers to color in the "hills."  I used a sketch, but am unsure as to it's origin :(

Please be sure to visit this week's sponsor:  Stamp Art by Kathryne!  Until next week!!

You make me *SPARKLE*

I've decided to start some Valentine {LOVE} cards a bit early.....you never know when you might need one!

Seize the Sketch and Kraftin Kimmie have joined forces so I'm submitting this card for both of their challenges along with the weekly challenge at Cuttin and Stampin to use Christmas paper for something non-Christmas.  Also for that added little bit of "POW" I'm submitting it for Kraftin Kimmie's Guest Designer Challenge too!!  So here goes!

So here is the sketch from STS. I used Tabitha from Kraftin Kimmie, Tombow Art Markers to color her in.  The paper is My Minds Eye Holly Jolly.  The sentiment I pulled from the internet and also used some Star Dust Stickles on her skirt, hair bow and wand.

I loosely lifted Karen Hanson's finished card on the KK-STS challenge.   Thanks Karen! :)

Kraftin Kimmie Stamps - White Challenge

Kraftin Kimmie Stamps challenge #211 is "All White!"  To create a card, scrapbook page or altered art project using Kraftin Kimmie stamps and to be pretty much ALL WHITE!  I had to add a teensy bit of color!  I used Krista, some white lace, Tombow Art Markers, Darice embossing folder and LOTS of 3D foam squares! LOL

Thanks for the challege!

Happy New Year!! CIO Button-ed up the old year! LOL

Happy New Year out in blog-land!  Clear It Out Challenge Blog is starting off the new year with a new format.......WEEKLY CHALLENGES!!  It's exciting news!!

Week one is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.  This one is called "NOEL Snowflake Block."  Our theme is to say thank you and the stash item is buttons.

Since at this time of year we are thanking everyone for the lovely gifts we received, I thought this would be a nice way to incorporate the winter snowflakes!  I covered the letters inside each snowflake with a button.  The paper is My Minds Eye, the buttons are from my stash and I colored with Tombow Art Markers.

Join us next week for a new challenge and a new sponsor.  In the meantime, check out my friends at Bugaboo Stamps!
