All that glitters.......

Being a dance mom...."glitter" is usually everywhere!  So the challenge at Jingle Belles was super appropriate with dance competition in full swing!

Two cards for this one!  I used Unity Stamp Co. "Winter, joy, peace, love (which doesn't appear to be available any longer) and a Bella Creationz sentiment.  Patterned paper is Tim Holtz as is the ribbon and the WOW! Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing glitter is what makes it's SPARKLE!  The Snowflake and some of the splatter is glittery, which didn't really photograph well and the ribbon is silver metallic.

The most wonderful time of the year!!

My daughter is a competitive dancer!  There I've said it!  Ugh.....hair spray, sequins, rhinestones, false eyelashes, hair pins, fishnet tights, lots of cheering, some tears, but always lots of love!!

In two days (Friday the 22) is their first competition of the year and we're getting super excited and have gifts for her big and little dance sisters!  I made her cards to give to them for encouragement!

Used Unity Stamp Co. Hang in There Lady, painted on some stardust stickles, sequins from Bella Creationz.  Good luck to them all!!

In good shape!!

As I said in my previous post, Jingle Belles request is to create a shaped card.

I've created two different shapes, with two cards each.....that's 4 cards in one week!  WHAT?!?!

Crazy I know! LOL

The gingerbread house was my first thought, but I figured too many pieces, it would take too long.  It actually took less time that the wreaths in the previous post and SUPER DUPER CUTE!!

Again used scraps laying around for the pieces, cut on my Cricut Expression using the Create a Critter 2 cart.  Due to the dreary-ness of our weather here today, you cannot see the stickles all over the roof!!

Thanks for looking!!

Shaping up for the New Year!

The current challenge at Jingle Belles is to "shape up" for the New Year!  Make your card into a shape!  Last year I went the easy route (or so I thought) and just changed the shape of the top of the card.....this year I was all in!!

I first had the gingerbread house in my head, but didn't get around to it and thought it would take too long......the wreaths actually took longer!!  LOL

Making two separate posts to show both on their blog and a chance to win the Griswold Family Christmas stamps!!  My hubby and son can quote this movie backwards and forwards!!

Here's the first set.....I am trying to make two of everything so that in December I have enough!

The wreath's were the first ones completed.  I used mostly scraps laying around for all the pieces. Cut from my *very old, unlinked* Cricut expression cart Create a Critter 2.  Not sure how I will write my sentiment and greeting inside, but I'll worry about that later! LOL

Thanks for looking!
