Some of my favorite things!

This week's challenge at Clear It Out is another color challenge.....this time it's YOUR favorite color!  It's also an ATG (Anything Goes) challenge!

I wasn't really on board with the mint green/pink color combo for Christmas cards, but this elf changed my mind!  The image comes from this week's sponsor, MelJen's Designs.  This super cute elf is also going to be entered into their challenge for "hanging out."  The paper I chose is My Minds Eye, I Believe.  I used my Tombow Art Markers to color in this precious elf!  I also used a touch of Star Dust Stickles, some twine and a sentiment stamp from Stampin' Up.  (Please excuse my thumb in the picture, I couldn't get the stickles to sparkle any other way!)

Please be sure to check out MelJen's Designs!  Her images are super adorable!!

Summertime!!

Living in Florida in August/September is pretty darn H-O-T!!  I think it was 95 here yesterday (with no rain to cool it off) and today it's supposed to be more of the same!  WHEW!  Thank goodness for the popsicles!!

The paper I chose is from EP, the popsicles were cut from scraps.  I used some homemade enamel dots (or melted perler beads), some stickles and a little color in the cheeks from my Tombow Art Markers!  The image is from Zappow Designs.

Entering this into the S.W.A.T. Summer Vacation Challenge!  We did get out this summer, and did have PLENTY of popsicles to keep cool!! :)

What's up Puddin Pop?

I absolutely love this image from Zappow Designs!

I used Echo Park and Bazzill papers, added some Tombow Art Markers, some white paint marker pen and a homemade white enamel dot!

Used the sketch from MFT, and entering it for their weekly sketch challenge!

School is in!!

Today marks the first day of school for my two kiddies!!  My son is starting his last year at elementary school in 5th grade, my daughter is in 2nd grade.  They both went off this morning with all their new supplies, healthy lunches and smiles!  I came home to a seriously Q-U-I-E-T house!

It's Tuesday and that means a new challenge from Clear It Out Challenge!  This week we have a new sponsor and a newer, but returning sponsor!  LOL  Our sponsors this week are Di's Digi Stamps and ZapPow Designs!

My images come from ZapPow Designs this week!  If you have young children, you know what inspired the first card!  The paper is from Carta Bella - True Friends and I colored with my Tombow Art Markers, added some enamel dots, stickles and a little bit of twine to finish it off!  I used the current sketch from MFT Stamps for the design.

The next one I feel like I need to provide an explanation for!  LOL  I'm originally from Detroit Michigan.  Our hockey team, the Detroit Red Wings, won several Stanley Cup Championships in a row in the late 90's.  They adopted a giant purple octopus as their mascot, used it at games, celebratory parades.....you saw this guy EVERYWHERE!  Well when I saw this cutie, I just knew he had to be purple!  This one is also from ZapPow Designs.  Colored with Tombow Art Markers, a couple enamel dots and the paper is Dots & Stripes by American Crafts.

I hope you enjoyed these and be sure to enter your Anything Goes card into our challenge!  Also be sure to check out our sponsors!  They have super cute images!!

Texturize it!

Hello everyone!  This is my first DT post for Southern Girls Challenge!  I am super excited to have been chosen to be on this team!!  Be sure to check out the amazing DT posts!!

Since this is a new Challenge blog for me (and possibly you as well), please be sure to check out the rules & guidelines listed on the left side of the Southern Girls Challenge Blog!  Challenge runs for 3 weeks, only one entry per person and the challenge ending times are NEW ZELAND time, not US times!!  That one was hard for me to grasp! :)

So here goes.  The current challenge is to use texture!  We have three great sponsors too!!

I've used an image from Dilly Beans Digi Stamps, called Tula's Heart!  I used my Tombow Art Marker to color in the image.  Used a Tim Holtz embossing folder on the background, some stash fibers and button.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up.

Be sure to check out all of our sponsors and enter away!!

Until Next Time!!!

Emboss it!!

Hello again from Clear It Out Challenge Blog!  This week's challenge is to emboss it!!  Wet, dry, powders, folders.......whatever you have, use it!

This week's sponsor is Stamp Art by Kathyrne!  I used my Tombow Art Markers to color in the image, added some stickles to the wings and antennae for sparkle.  All of the paper used was from my scrap stash.  I added some ribbon and some "dots" to finish it off.

Thanks for checking it out and be sure to check out our sponsor for some great images!

Until next time!  =D

CIO Sketch Time!

Welcome back to Clear It Out Challenge's weekly challenge!  This week it's all about the sketch (and die cuts)!  After all we are called CLEAR IT OUT!!

This week's sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps!  Since we have school getting ready to start within the next couple weeks, I thought a back to school theme would be appropriate!

I used my Tombow Art Markers to color in the image, the paper is from Basic Grey Max & Whiskers.  The sentiment is from Carta Bella Alphabet Soup and the "dots" are homemade using the kids pearler beads melted in the oven!

Give it a try!  Sketch's make a great starting point!  Don't forget your die-cuts too!!
