Polka Dot Orchard!

Since it is the season of all things sweets and cookies.....I created this sweet card with all the sweets and cookies ready to share!

Used a digital set from Polka Dot Orchard called Cookies for Santa!  Digital stamps are so fun because you can make them big, make them smaller, print multiple copies so you can cut and paste.....over and over again!  I fussy cut the cookie border, distressed with Vintage Photo Oxide.  Cut out a select few "cookies" to color and sprinkle with sparkly glitter and pop up for dimension.

Hoping to keep the blog busy in the coming new year!

Unity Stamp Co. December Sketch Challenge

Unity Stamp Company is sponsoring a sketch challenge running the month of December!  I love a good sketch!  Lets be honest, we all could use a little help with being creative!  Sketches provide that inspiration for me!

This is the latest submission that I have entered.

Created a watercolored/ink smooshed background.  Added some gold gilding flakes to the corners.  Stamped one of the beautiful butterflys from Grow.Transform. Evolve and used the new Many More Birthday's stamp and coordinating die!

Coffee Lovers Fall | Winter Blog Hop #3

One last card for this blog hop!  I don't know if there will be anymore before it's over tonight at midnight PST, but I have neglecting housework!  LOL Better get on that!!

This one is based on a previous BYSH Cardmakers sketch (#12).  Used a Unity Stamp Co. 2020 Advent Calendar stamp (the mug) and the sentiment is from .....heart of Christmas, also Unity Stamp Co.  Papers are old....from Fancy Pants St. Nick (2011).  Twines are from Bella Creationz and the "dots" are Nuvo Vintage Drops in Postbox red.

If I'm quick about it.....I'll be entry 979!!  Wonder if we'll get to 1000?!?!?

Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop (card 2)

Card #2 for the Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop!

For this card I used a digital design from Polka Dot Orchard called Warm Sweaters and Cocoa.   Also used some stamps from Unity Stamp Co. 2020 Advent Calendar.

Thanks for looking and be sure to check out Polka Dot Orchard and Unity Stamp Co.  Also be sure to link up your coffee/cocoa creations for the blog hop!

Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop 2021

Happy Thursday!  It was recently shared with me that there is a Coffee Lovers Card Making Group (say what?!?!?). Not only is there is a Coffee Lovers Card Making Group, they are having a Blog Hop!  I'm so in!!

I've been sort of a rut since the craft show I did a few weeks ago.  I'm calling it "Craft Show Hangover!"  We unloaded the car and everything is everywhere! LOL. Time to clean it up and get crafting!!

First card for the Blog Hop is created using some Unity Stamps!  I used the sentiment from "warm & cozy" and the coffee cup from "Joy, peace and comfort mug."

Stamped the sentiment all over with versamark and then white embossing powder.  Ink blended some walnut stain and tea dye over the embossing.  Stamped and fussy cut the cup, colored with Tombow Art Markers.  Twine from stash, gems from pink fresh.

Polka Dot Orchard DT!!

There has been some exciting news here in my world.....I've joined the Polka Dot Orchard Design Team!!!

Polka Dot Orchard is an online store for digital images and creative crafty things! :)

I've created a few projects using a set called Calling All Reindeer.  Christmas tags were cut and the banner image was printed!  Some patterned paper and some twine and these are ready to adorn any package!

I then printed the large reindeer head.  I distressed the edges and inked with Black Soot.  The red stripe is red ribbon!  I used a sketch from {BYSH} Cardmakers Sketch Challenge #16

Thanks for checking it out!  This reindeer card was supposed to be entered into the Jingle Belles Challenge, but I missed the deadline!  Card was done this morning, but life happened!  I remembered 2 1\2 hours too late!

{BYSH} Cardmakers Falling for the Holidays Hop (card 4)!!

{BYSH} Cardmakers.....it's Wednesday!!  WHOO HOO!!  I've done card #4 and have many more ideas in my head!  Thanks to all our amazing sponsors and all of your super awesome cards already posted!  Let's keep this party going!!

This jolly little fellow is from Angie Blom Digitial Designs who happens to be one of our generous sponsors!

I love the old world feel of this guy!  I've always loved the old world Santa images and Christmas things!

I printed this tall guy on plain white cardstock and colored with Tombow Art Markers.  Die cut with a Tim Holtz die set (stacked deckle) and then distressed the edges with some antique linen.  Designer cardstock is part of a pack from My Minds Eye called Holly Jolly (psst don't tell anyone, but it's from 2010), kraft is from Unity Stamp Co!  Sentiment is from the same digital download and was also printed on plain cardstock.

Be sure to check out the hop!  It's tons of fun and you may even win some awesome prizes......just be sure to enter your creations and use #fallingfortheholidays2021byshchop!

{BYSH} Cardmakers Falling for the Holiday Hop (card 3)

Happy Tuesday Holiday Hop Cardmakers!  I'm back with card #3 for the Falling for the Holidays Hop!

Today's card features another favorite of mine from Unity Stamp Co.  It's called snowmie.

I created the background with some ink smooshing through a stencil (used Broken China and Faded Jeans) which didn't produce the results I wanted.....so I just smooshed the remaining ink on the block.  Distressed the edge with distressing tool and then inked with Black Soot.

Stamped the snowman on regular white cardstock, colored with Tombow Art Markers and fussy cut him out!  I did loosely follow Karen Maldonado's color choices for the scarf (hope she doesn't mind).  The sentiment was cut from a piece of designer cardstock.  The snowflakes at the top are from Dollar Tree!

I'm adding this lovely to the BYSH Cardmakers Holiday Hop and also adding to the current Jingle Belles challenge for "creatures."  Although I don't think this guy is to0 ominous!!

{BYSH} Cardmakers Falling for the Holidays Hop (card 2)

{BYSH} Cardmakers Falling for the Holiday Hop is live and going strong!  My second card is below.  I am using two of our fantastic sponsors......Unity Stamp Co. and Gina Marie Designs.

My card features .... cheerful prancing by Unity Stamp Co.  A favorite of mine for sure!

Following a saved video from 2017, I stamped this striking image on 110lb white cardstock. Distressed with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain distress ink/oxide.  Spritzed with some water to distress.  Distressed further the edges with a distressing tool and then inked with Black Soot distress ink.  Mounted on designer cardstock from My Minds Eye's Cozy Christmas collection.  I also used some twine from May Arts (twine) and Timeless Twine (black).  Stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and distress in the same way as the large panel.  I added a few black acrylic dots (gina marie designs) to finish it off.

I absolutely love this set!  I use it many, many times each season!

I am entering this into the BYSH Cardmakers Falling for the Holidays Hop and also the Jingle Belles challenge for "not a creature was stirring."

Thanks for looking and commenting!  All are appreciated!! :)

Pink Christmas #4

May be the last pink card for a while.....but 4 cards in one day ain't half bad!!

Used Unity Stamp Co. Christmas Wishes and the negative die cut from the previous card!!  Nothing goes to waste!!

Pink Christmas #3

This panel was watercolored with worn lipstick, spun sugar, ripe persimmon, scattered straw, festive berries and splattered with some black soot.  Used ....cheerful prancing stamps and some WOW! Pearl Gold Sparkle embossing glitter!

Pink Christmas #2

I re-purposed the negative from the die cut on the previous card to create this new one.  Stamped Blessed Baby on a pink die cut panel, glittered up the star and added some foam tape and a sentiment from the same kit!

It's a PINK Christmas!

Every October is deemed Breast Cancer Awareness month.  The ladies at Jingle Belles are no exception to this great cause for awareness!  For each pink themed card that is posted, the two ladies in charge (Lauren & Steph) each donate $2 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation......yes $4 donated for each card linked!  I've made one so far, working on more! :)

There aren't many rules for this challenge other than the fact that each card has to be newly made; it has to have a winter theme and it has to feature pink prominently.  The whole card doesn't need to be pink, but it has to feature the color pink!  As you can see, my card isn't completely pink!  I inked up a watercolor panel with some ink blending (shaded lilac, worn lipstick and spun sugar).  Stamped a partial stamp for the star (Unity Stamp Co. Blessed Baby) and used a mirror stamping tool to reverse one of the reindeer images from ...cheerful prancing.  I splattered some watered down white acrylic paint on a black cardstock panel and attached the die cut panel.  Sentiment was cut from a sheet of worded cardstock.

Stay tuned for more pink!!!

Tic-Tac-Toe

The current prompt at Jingle Belles is for a Christmas Tic-Tac-Toe!  So fun!

For today's card I've chosen to go straight down the middle!  Bling (stars), Die Cuts and Tree(s).

I used a watercolor paper panel, ink blended Faded Jeans, Broken China and Speckled Egg to create a winter sunset.  Sprinkled some watered down white acrylic paint on top for snowy effect.  Die cut the trees using Tim Holtz Woodlands thinlits dies in black for the silhouette.  I then glued some silver star sequins on for a little bling.  Stamped sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co., popped up with some foam tape.

Thanks for checking it out!

Photo Challenge!

Jingle Belles has posted a photo challenge this round!  So many options with this one!  Color, cntent, shapes all are fair game!

Today I've chosen to use the snow globe aspect of this photo along with the "whimsical" shapes inside the globes!

This card pretty much had a mind of it's own!!  Started out as something completely different, but the final result is perfect!!

Started with a background of light blue cardstock.  Used some faded jeans distress oxide to ink blend the edges.  I then sprinkled some watered down white acrylic paint.  The stamps used are all from Unity Stamp Co.  They are Winter Shake Up (snowglobe) and felt star.  The star reminds me of sugar cookies which is in the inspiration photo as well.  Tombow Art Markers to color on watercolor paper.

Cardstock only!!

Jingle Belles current prompt is for cardstock only!  No pretty patterned paper, no fancy Christmas designs.  None.....ZIP!!

I created this card with only cardstock.  Started with a piece of kraft and inked it with black soot and vintage photo.  Next I inked a Unity Stamp (Winter Blessings), the pine bough, in wild honey and added it to the background.  I used the BYSHC Sketch #13 as my guide.  Stamped the pinecones from the same set and then fussy cut them out.  Sprinkled with some watered down white acrylic paint and added some jewels from Pink Fresh.

Not my best photo, I'm in isolation due to positive covid test, so had to make due with the tools around!

Red & Green.......Green & Red!

Jingle Belles have an awesome-ly Christmasy challenge!  To use primarily red and green on your entries!

I created this card by ink blending a panel of watercolor paper with different shades of red distress inks (festive berries, worn lipstick and picked raspberries).  I then took a Unity Stamp Co. background stamp called Christmas all around and sprayed it with water....pressed the wet stamp surface onto my inked panel and pulled off some of the ink to create this reverse stamped image!  Flicked some diluted white acrylic paint on top and tied on some twine.  Stamped the car and "be merry" both from Unity's Winter Shake Up set.  I colored with Tombow art markers and fussy cut them both out.

I am also entering this into the BYSHC Christmas in July Hop!
