{BYSH} Cardmakers Falling for the Holidays Hop (card 4)!!

{BYSH} Cardmakers.....it's Wednesday!!  WHOO HOO!!  I've done card #4 and have many more ideas in my head!  Thanks to all our amazing sponsors and all of your super awesome cards already posted!  Let's keep this party going!!

This jolly little fellow is from Angie Blom Digitial Designs who happens to be one of our generous sponsors!

I love the old world feel of this guy!  I've always loved the old world Santa images and Christmas things!

I printed this tall guy on plain white cardstock and colored with Tombow Art Markers.  Die cut with a Tim Holtz die set (stacked deckle) and then distressed the edges with some antique linen.  Designer cardstock is part of a pack from My Minds Eye called Holly Jolly (psst don't tell anyone, but it's from 2010), kraft is from Unity Stamp Co!  Sentiment is from the same digital download and was also printed on plain cardstock.

Be sure to check out the hop!  It's tons of fun and you may even win some awesome prizes......just be sure to enter your creations and use #fallingfortheholidays2021byshchop!

{BYSH} Cardmakers Falling for the Holiday Hop (card 3)

Happy Tuesday Holiday Hop Cardmakers!  I'm back with card #3 for the Falling for the Holidays Hop!

Today's card features another favorite of mine from Unity Stamp Co.  It's called snowmie.

I created the background with some ink smooshing through a stencil (used Broken China and Faded Jeans) which didn't produce the results I wanted.....so I just smooshed the remaining ink on the block.  Distressed the edge with distressing tool and then inked with Black Soot.

Stamped the snowman on regular white cardstock, colored with Tombow Art Markers and fussy cut him out!  I did loosely follow Karen Maldonado's color choices for the scarf (hope she doesn't mind).  The sentiment was cut from a piece of designer cardstock.  The snowflakes at the top are from Dollar Tree!

I'm adding this lovely to the BYSH Cardmakers Holiday Hop and also adding to the current Jingle Belles challenge for "creatures."  Although I don't think this guy is to0 ominous!!

{BYSH} Cardmakers Falling for the Holidays Hop (card 2)

{BYSH} Cardmakers Falling for the Holiday Hop is live and going strong!  My second card is below.  I am using two of our fantastic sponsors......Unity Stamp Co. and Gina Marie Designs.

My card features .... cheerful prancing by Unity Stamp Co.  A favorite of mine for sure!

Following a saved video from 2017, I stamped this striking image on 110lb white cardstock. Distressed with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain distress ink/oxide.  Spritzed with some water to distress.  Distressed further the edges with a distressing tool and then inked with Black Soot distress ink.  Mounted on designer cardstock from My Minds Eye's Cozy Christmas collection.  I also used some twine from May Arts (twine) and Timeless Twine (black).  Stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and distress in the same way as the large panel.  I added a few black acrylic dots (gina marie designs) to finish it off.

I absolutely love this set!  I use it many, many times each season!

I am entering this into the BYSH Cardmakers Falling for the Holidays Hop and also the Jingle Belles challenge for "not a creature was stirring."

Thanks for looking and commenting!  All are appreciated!! :)

The main set I chose is called Joy & Blessings....I did throw in a little christmas carol background on the second one.  Colored with some Tombow Art markers, used some white gel pen to add accent, added some tiny star sequins also from Unity.  This set is one of my favorites!  I have also made tags with it in the past....and am getting ready to make more!!

Pink Christmas #4

May be the last pink card for a while.....but 4 cards in one day ain't half bad!!

Used Unity Stamp Co. Christmas Wishes and the negative die cut from the previous card!!  Nothing goes to waste!!

Pink Christmas #3

This panel was watercolored with worn lipstick, spun sugar, ripe persimmon, scattered straw, festive berries and splattered with some black soot.  Used ....cheerful prancing stamps and some WOW! Pearl Gold Sparkle embossing glitter!

Pink Christmas #2

I re-purposed the negative from the die cut on the previous card to create this new one.  Stamped Blessed Baby on a pink die cut panel, glittered up the star and added some foam tape and a sentiment from the same kit!

It's a PINK Christmas!

Every October is deemed Breast Cancer Awareness month.  The ladies at Jingle Belles are no exception to this great cause for awareness!  For each pink themed card that is posted, the two ladies in charge (Lauren & Steph) each donate $2 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation......yes $4 donated for each card linked!  I've made one so far, working on more! :)

There aren't many rules for this challenge other than the fact that each card has to be newly made; it has to have a winter theme and it has to feature pink prominently.  The whole card doesn't need to be pink, but it has to feature the color pink!  As you can see, my card isn't completely pink!  I inked up a watercolor panel with some ink blending (shaded lilac, worn lipstick and spun sugar).  Stamped a partial stamp for the star (Unity Stamp Co. Blessed Baby) and used a mirror stamping tool to reverse one of the reindeer images from ...cheerful prancing.  I splattered some watered down white acrylic paint on a black cardstock panel and attached the die cut panel.  Sentiment was cut from a sheet of worded cardstock.

Stay tuned for more pink!!!
