Inky Paws Rainbow Challenge #199

It appears that I am card 1 and card 2 posted for the Rainbow Color Challenge #199 at Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge Blog! My second card is not super exciting, but it is nonetheless a finished thank you card for my stash! This image is one of the freebies offered on their challenge rules page.

This is a great use of scraps! I went through my scrap stash and found all these beautiful rainbow colors! Cut them all diagonally and adhered to a piece of white cardstock. I then die cut a rectangle from the center using the Unity Stamp Co. scallops and rectangle nesting dies and popped it up with some foam tape. I printed the sentiment twice....not sure which would look better and it turned out that BOTH looked good, but together! I layered the vellum printed sentiment over the white paper printed sentiment and then fussy cut them out. I added some white twine and some white sequins to add some interest.

Thanks for visiting, be sure to leave me some love to let me know you were here! :)

Inky Paws #199 Color Challenge!

Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge this time around is rainbow! My favorite! First up is MORE LLAMA! It's really a good thing that I love this guy!! Still not bored with this cutie yet! LOL

Started with a piece of white cardstock. I taped an Overlapping Circles stencil from The Rabbit Hole Designs. I used the leftover ink from my blending brushes to create the rainbow effect! No extra ink was needed! Stamped and die cut the Llama Delivery set from Newton's Nook Designs and colored with my Tombow ABT markers. I loved the way that Tatiana colored hers with dots along the edge for a subtle coloring technique.....I will definitely be using it again! I die cut a vellum circle using Unity Stamp Co. Scallops and circles nesting dies. The sentiment is also from Unity Stamp Co. from a set called Gotta Love Sentiments.

Thanks for visiting! Leave me some love so that I know you were here! :)

Inky Paws Sketch Challenge #198

I do love working with sketches! This one is from Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws! the image is one of their freebies. Figured everyone may be tired of the Llama! LOL

Papers are recently purchased new to me from Stampin Up! I colored with Tombow ABT markers. Because I printed on regular cardstock, the blending isn't the best. I used some clear dew drops. I try to do something different with the flower/ladybug combo each time I use it!

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge #33 - Holiday Joy

This is the last Friday of {BYSHC} Sketch 33 Challenge! Next week starts a new challenge! My last card for this sketch is one of my favorite itty bitty stamps from Unity Stamp Co.

This Holiday Joy Christmas Tree is well loved by me!! If you scroll through my posts.....you'll see this one a lot!! What I love about it is that it's "self-contained" if that makes sense! It is it's own image....doesn't need much! So I stamped it with versafine clair in nocturne, colored with Tombow ABT markers. Then I distressed it a bit with some vintage photo. I sprinkled some water on to give it a little more of a distressed feel. Papers are from several different places....just kind of grabbed some scraps that all went together! Gina Marie designs enamel dots and some twine for the finish!

Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Published!

Literally never thought it would happen once, but now it's happened again! I have cards published in the Summer 2023 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine! I am beyond excited and honored! What an amazing feeling!

There they are.....right at the top of page 50!! Such a fun technique! Ink blended over a stencil, then without cleaning, added the glitter paste. It blended the leftover ink on the stencil and created this beautiful smooth rainbow! The brighter one was a little more challenging.....I had to tape off each color as I ink blended...but then smoothed on the glitter paste and it all evened out!

WOWOWOW! I'm blown away!!

{BYSHC} Sketch challenge #33 - Celebrate

{BYSHC} are back at our regularly scheduled sketch challenge! Thanks to everyone who participated in our linky party! We had a record number of entries!

This card started with a white top fold cardbase. I followed the sketch dimensions and used papers from Carta Bella Home for Christmas. I used two different itty-bitty stamps from Unity Stamp Co.....hey there-wise guy and ornamental season. If you are unfamiliar with the Itty-Bitty collection....they are small stamp sets (usually an image and a sentiment) that pack a lot of punch! I colored this sweet birdy with my Tombow ABT Markers and added some acrylic dots from Gina Marie Designs.

Inky Paws Color Challenge #197

Newton's Nook Designs sponsors a challenge every couple of weeks on their Inky Paws site! I've entered a few here and there! Challenges get you thinking! This one is a color challenge!

So fun!! I still only have one stamp set....luckily he's super versatile!

You guessed it! Llama Delivery stamps and dies again! LOL Still on the retired list (and sale) not sure for how much longer! Stamped with VersaFine Clair in Nocturne, colored with Tombow ABT markers. Didn't like how some of the coloring went together so I paper pieced a couple presents on his back! Added a bright yellow tag and some fun fibers I've had forever! I can always use a birthday card to 100!

Thanks for visiting!

Happy Anniversary!

May the 4th has always been a special day to me.....even before it was "STAR WARS DAY!" My hubby and I were married on May 4th 2002. It was sort of a joke on that day that people said "hahaha May the Fourth be with you!" Who knew it would become an actual thing! LOL

So I made my hubby a card.....because it's what I do!

Started with a white card base. I cut a scrap piece of white a little smaller and took to some ink blending! I used a dotted stencil and gina k. designs dye inks in ocean mist and tranquil teal. I sort of did this backwards, because I then stamped the image on top of the dots. Once I realized that I should have stamped her first, then masked.....I grabbed a scrap of white and stamped her again! Fussy cut her out and colored her in! Glued her on top of my stamped image! I still have the swirlies and hearts from the stamp but her coloring doesn't have any dots! Since I wasn't crazy about the bottom cut job on my image, I masked part of a larger sentiment with only the "I Love You" showing. (all stamped images are from Unity Stamp Co. Kit of the Month 12/16).
