Teacher's Favorites!!

Well it's back-to-school time around our house!  First week is in the bag and now the REAL fun begins!  H-O-M-E-W-O-R-K!!

Clear it out Challenge Blog's latest theme is Back to School and the stash item is chipboard!

My first card is pretty simple, but effective!  I used a QKR Stampede image (Big Apple).  I colored him in with my Tombo Art Markers and fussy cut him for more detail.  I used Bazzil coal as the background, Fancy Pants Off to School chipboard (tag and stars) and the ribbon is Jillibean Soup - Bean Stalks.

My second card for this week is an image from Limited Runs (Seahorse).  I used my Tombo Art Markers again to color him in and again fussy cut for detail.  Used My Minds Eye Indie Chic Citron 6x6 pad for the chevron and blue backgrounds.  Used Making Memories Providence Small Black rubon letters and the letter "S" is from a pack of Thickers that I had to make black with my Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink.  The twine is an unknown brand.

Please check out QKR Stampede and Limited Runs!!  And don't forget to enter the challenge!  One week left!

See ya next time!

School is COOL!

Can't believe that school is starting today for my kids!  Seems like just yesterday it was the last day and summer break was just beginning!  With that in mind, ClearItOutChallengeBlog has a new challenge and the theme is BACK TO SCHOOL!  The stash item is chipboard!

My card is in honor of the new school year starting!

I used a digital stamp from DigiDarla Designs and her name is Great World.  I colored her in with Tombo Art Markers, used MME Market 6x6 pad to cut out her dress and the plaid backing paper.  The washi tape is an unknown brand but the letters are MM rubons.  The chipboard pennants are from UmWowStudio.  I sprayed them with Sand and Tattered Leather Glimmer Mist.

For those with new Kindergartners or those with new college freshmen, enjoy the ride!  It goes very, VERY fast!  Mine start 4th grade and 1st grade today!  Wow how time flies!

Please check out DigiDarla Designs and get busy with you entry!!

Summer Vacation - Week 2!

Here we are at the second week of the Summer Vacation challenge over at ClearItOutChallenge!  The theme is Summer Vacation and the stash item is Rubons/Stickers.

Living here in FL, the summer lasts until late into the year so this is a great opportunity to get some "summer" crafting done!

My image for the second week of the challenge comes from Bugaboo Stamps.  He's called Picnic Ant - Watermelon.  Picnics are a summertime staple!  And who is always an uninvited guest?!?!?  That's right.....the ants!

I colored Mr. Ant with my Tombo Art Markers, added some black stickles to the seeds to give them a little sparkle!  The tag itself is cut from plain black and white cardstock.  Then I added some picnic basket washi tape (DoodlebugDesigns), some ants from Stickopotamus.  The ribbon is from Jillibean Soup - Bean Stalks (red/black) and the letter stamp is from Making Memories, magnetic letter stamp.

Please visit Bugaboo Stamps and be sure to upload your entry before it's all over!  Have a great summer!!

Summer Vacation!!

Happy Summer everyone!  Here in Florida we are smack in the middle of the hottest part of the year!  That means lots of time in the water.......pool, bay, spring, WHEREVER!

Over at ClearItOutChallenge the theme is SUMMER VACATION!  The stash item is stickers/rubons (of which I have TONS of)!

My image for this first week is from Lacy Sunshine!  This is a new sponsor and her designs are super cute!

This one is called Eleanor - Tubing Fun!  I colored her with Tombo Art Markers, used a little stickles on her glasses and to put the sparkle in her eyes!  The tag is cut from Trinity Paper Arts Surf N Swim collection, then I masked it with  Heidi Swapp Hexagon Spray Stencil and some Glimmer Mist in Brick.  The twine is two different brands, the yellow I know is My Minds Eye, but the blue i'm not sure of the brand.  The charm is also from an unknown manufacturer.  The title is a rubon from Scenic Route Paper Co. - Beach Words rubbed onto Cheddar Bazzill, distressed and then inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Stain.

I absolutely LOVE this tag and cannot wait to use it on a tubing layout!  This is the summer of tubing for us!  We've been once already and will be going again in a couple weeks!  The kids LOVE it!

Please check out Lacy Sunshine and submit an entry!!  And enjoy the Summer!!

Card of Love!

I stumbled upon The Unity Stamp Co. Challenge Blog and decided to try my hand at their challenge!  I should have read the instructions a bit better because I used TWO of the challenges in ONE entry! LOL  But I do LOVE how it turned out!

The stamp used is Itty Bitty Rain or Shine by Unity.  The strips of paper are from several different sources, mostly scraps.  These are the colors for the challenge.....

and this is the sketch.......

I added some black eyelash fiber to the side and also some glossy accents to the umbrella!

Thanks for looking!!
