{BYSHC} Sketch 59 - All is Calm

Hello again! {BYSHC} Sketch 59 would be a great way to get some cards entered for the Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party! The party ends tonight! Lots of prizes to be randomly awarded!

It's been a busy busy few months around here! Graduation, dance nationals, college orientation and just plain summer things! So this card was created with just a pad of paper and some dies! The paper is Park Lane (Joanns [RIP]) Holiday Pine. I chose coordinating papers, cut according to the measurements in the sketch and added the background to the card base. The circles were cut using dies! The largest circle is from Unity's Scallops and circles nesting dies and the smaller one is from Stampin' Up. These were all cut from a piece of patterned paper in the pack as well as the sentiment! I then added some white enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs and it's finished! It doesn't have to be hard to be beautiful!

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Noel

Still creating cards for the Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party!

Today's card  features some scraps that were left on the desktop and BYSHC Sketch 56 to use them up!

I had all of these scraps laying on the desk, you can likely see where I used them in previous posts in this linky party! The sentiment is from the 2020 Unity Advent Calendar. Both pieces were die cut with the scallops and circles nesting dies. I used glossy accents on the letters to spruce them up a bit! They were too "dull" and it needed a little something. I distressed around the edge with whatever ink was left on the blue blending brush! No need to re-ink....just use up what's there!

I then added some foam adhesive to the sentiment circles and added some Gina Marie Designs Enamel Dots (IMO the BEST)!

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Peace Love Joy

I just can't stop making cards! LOL The Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party ends on Friday! How many cards will be entered?!?

My card started with a piece of patterned paper that came in a "thank you" bag from Unity Stamp Co., not sure which pack it's from. I found a sketch that would work with the stamp set I grabbed (Unity's The Sweetest Snowman), and sketch 55 it is! Die cut the patterned paper with the largest die from the scallops and rectangles nesting dies. This one was easy to put together! Just colored this sweet guy in with King Art Alcohol Markers. The hardest part?!?!? Finding the right base colors for both the card base and the backer for the image! LOL Ultimately I found a dark green scrap big enough for the snowman, but not for the entire card! I added the sentiment to the snowman....couldn't figure out a better place!

Feels a little plain, but the plaid is pretty predominant!

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Magic of Christmas

Hello and welcome back! The Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party is rounding the bend! Only a few days left to get your entries in for a chance at some amazing prizes!

Considering that today is "Membership Makes Wednesday at Unity Show & Tell, I've created this lovely card using two of the amazing membership kits!

This started with a piece of white cardstock to which I stamped the Unity Background of the Month 11/21...branches and berries using Gina K Designs Dye ink in fresh asparagus. Next I stamped the cute deer and tree from the Uniquely Unity Kit from 10/24....simply holiday deer using Versafine Clair Nocturne. I used an edge die called Land Borders Die Set from Newton's Nook Designs.  I did die cut the edge before coloring. Then I smooshed some distress oxide in vintage photo and lumberjack plaid onto an acrylic block and added some water and the use of a water brush to color this guy in. The ornament and star were colored with Tombow ABT Markers. I then glued everything together and die cut the entire panel with the largest of the scallops and rectangles nesting die set from Unity. The sentiment from the same Uniquely Unity kit was also stamped and then fussy cut into individual strips and glued on. The colored pearls are from Gina Marie Designs!

For those of you following along......both of the solid cardstock pieces were scraps from a 12x12 sheet that I had die cut a bunch of boxes for my daughter's graduation gifts!! :)

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Let it Snow x3

Hello crafty friends! I'm here with another card for the Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party that was created with what could have been trash because I didn't like how it turned out. When in doubt die cut it out! LOL

The snowflake kraft background didn't turn out as I had originally hoped, but I refuse to throw anything away so I needed to repurpose it!  The snowflakes and the sentiments are from the Unity Stamp Co. September 2024 Kit of the Month {wander and wonder}. You may recognize them from a previous card I posted....I stamped the sentiment 7-8 times in various colors and textures to get the right color for the card I posted a couple days ago. Again, because I cannot throw anything away, I cut them up and found some paper that would work with the different colors of blue. The snowflakes were stamped onto kraft cardstock with ink on 3 clear embossing ink and left to dry. As I was putting the card together I thought the snowflakes were a little boring so I sprinkled some WOW! Embossing Powder in Ultra Shimmer Glitter over the now mostly dry ink. The powder didn't stick to much, but enough to give it a little sparkle. I die cut this panel with a scallops and rectangle nesting die and followed {BYSHC} Sketch 16 to cut and measure the patterned paper (from cloud hopper chronicles and snowy winter greetings) and glued everything together. I added some foam adhesive to the sentiments to make them pop!

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Warm Winter Wishes

Hello again! The Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party is close to the end! Be sure to have your entries submitted to the blog before midnight on the 25th!

My card today features, you guessed it.....more scraps! The {BYSHC} Sketches are a great way to use up some scraps! These tiny squares are just over 1" square. I had to adjust the measurements due to the rectangle I die cut from Unity's scallops and rectangle nesting dies. The patterned paper is all from PhotoPlay "It's a Wonderful Christmas." I measured and cut them each, added them to the white die cut panel and then moved onto the tag. Cut with the make a tag die set from Unity. Die cut the smallest tag die from red cardstock. Printed and fussy cut the mug from Angie Blom Digital Designs Joy Mugs. Colored with KingArt Alcohol markers and added it to the tag. The tag was add using foam adhesive. The sentiment is from Unity September 2024 KOM {wander and wonder} which I stamped and then cut into smaller pieces. Finally I added some twine and enamel dots.

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Cozy

I'm creating a bunch of cards for my stash! Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party is the best time to do that!

I am also continuing to go through scraps and put stuff together! The background and mug were both printed with multiples on the sheet, so they were leftover! They are both from Angie Blom Digital Designs! The mug is from Christmas Joy Mugs and the background is Christmas Joy Script Background. The background was ink blended all over with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide and then I roughed the edges up with my scissors. I followed {BYSHC} Sketch 20 for this one and measured the papers and cut accordingly. The snowflake paper is from Photoplay "It's a wonderful Christmas." The sentiment came from a cut-apart sentiment sheet (there are a couple, but here's one) from Unity Stamp Co which I attached with foam adhesive and then added some tiny enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs!
