The Best of 2015!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!!

This is the final post of 2015 for me!  At Clear It Out Challenge we were asked to pick our favorite card of the year........of course I couldn't pick just one!  LOL

This first one is from March and used Lacy Sunshine!  I sent this to my soon-to-be-born-at-the-time great nephew who was born in July!

This one is from April!  Using Bugaboo!  Had fun making this one!  My 8 year old daughter helped me pick out "monster colors!"

See you all on the flip side in 2016!

Be Joyful!

One of my favorite sketch sites, My Favorite Things, has a new sketch and challenge each week!  I was lucky enough to win once, earlier this year.  I just made my purchase and am anxiously awaiting my package full of goodies!  In the meantime, I'm entering their current sketch challenge!

While I (im)patiently await my order of My Favorite Things goodies, I have used a Unity Stamp Co. stamp on my card today.  The paper is from a giant Christmas pad I've had for too long!  The button, bling and ribbon are from stash, twine is from Bella Creationz and Timeless Twine.

Here is the sketch:

Give it a try and you may be the next winner!

Anything Goes with Lacy Sunshine!

Happy First day of September!  Can you believe it!?!?  I know I can't!  Kids are back to school and my oldest child will be 12 on Thursday!  Where does the time go?!?!  Here at Clear It Out Challenge, September 1st means some changes!  All good, mind you!  Starting with this challenge, we're moving to a 2-week challenge, instead of 1-week.  Less challenges, but more time to complete the current one!

This week our Sponsor is Lacy Sunshine, our theme and stash items are both ATG (Anything Goes)!

This sweet baby was colored in with Tombow Art Markers.  I used some stickles, some paper from the scrap pile, a stash button and some Timeless Twine.

I've also paired this up with the My Favorite Things sketch of the week.

Be sure to enter your creation today, but don't forget you have two weeks if today's not the day!

Fancy Folds!

Back from vacation and first day of school......I'm a hot mess!  My card for Clear It Out Challenge was finished, but I forgot to send the pictures!  Has that ever happened to you!?!?  I fee so scatter-brained!

Without further delay, here's this week's creation!  Our sponsor this week is Digital Paper Craft!  Our theme is fancy folds and the stash item is die cuts/punches.  I just realized that I missed that element!

here is my fancy fold!

Found the tutorial on Pinterest and it was pretty easy!

Used Tombow Art Markers to color in the image, the paper is a new pad I just purchased, MME Happy Day.  The button and stickles are from stash.  Twine is from Bella Creationz and Timeless Twine.  Sentiment is from Paper Smooches, Flap Happy.

Anything Goes!

Anything goes challenges are soooo popular, because there are no requirements!!  Love those kind! :)  Over at Clear It Out, that's what we've got this week!

The DT was able to choose any sponsor so I've chosen one of my favorites, Bugaboo Stamps!

One can never have enough birthday cards!  I used my Tombow Art markers to color this in.  The paper is from my current favorite pad,  My Minds Eye, Here is Happy, the stamp is Inkadinkadoo and the dew drops I purchased online.  The sketch is an oldie but goodie from a few years ago from MFT.

A nice bright cheerful card on this dreary day in Florida!

Single Layer Card

This week at Clear It Out Challenge it's a single layer challenge.  Using washi tape as a stash item.

Our sponsor this week is Melonheadz.

With School getting ready to start around my household......and our theme this year is Knowledge is Power........I thought this would be a perfect "Welcome back to School" card for my daughter's new teacher!

Single layer, means no additional layers on your project!  So I printed her directly on watercolor paper along with a sentiment.  Colored her in with my Tombow Art Markers.  Next added some doodling around the corners, some distress ink on the sides and then some washi tape at the bottom.  The buttons are from my stash.

It's truly harder than you think just doing one layer!  I wanted to add so many colored backgrounds to this, but had to stop myself!  Have fun with this one!

I used my Tombow Art Markers to color in the little birdie! From Bella Creationz and Timeless Twine I used the Firecracker Twine, clearly beautiful sequins and Happy Days Stamps to complete!  I absolutely love how this turned out!

This is my last post as a Bella Creationz and Timeless Twine DT member!  I'm sad to be leaving, but SOOO glad to have been here for the time I was!!

What's your style?

This week at Clear It Out Challenge, it's about YOUR style and favorite craft product!  This was easy for me!  My style is CAS (clean and simple)!!  The less bulky the better!  My favorite craft product is just about anything!  I love to use up scraps and older stuff before the newer stuff gets opened!  Another favorite craft product (if you want to call it that) are sketches!  I can start with a sketch and by the finished product it barely resembles the sketch!  This one pretty much matches the sketch, but not all do!

Our awesome sponsor this week (actually 2 weeks) is Lacy Sunshine!  This little guy is called Nibbles the Mouse!

I used up a piece of digital paper left over from another project, some ribbon I've had forever and some brads.  Colored Nibbles with my Tombow Art Markers.  The sentiment is from Tim Holtz.

The sketch I used is from MyFavoriteThings, they have a new sketch each week.

Don't forget to check out Lacy Sunshine and get an entry in!  You could win some free images!

The Stars and Stripes!

It's almost that time of year where we honor our country and wear it's colors!  I am up at Timeless Twine Blogspot with a scrapbook layout!

With the kids out of school and the temperatures high, that means it's close to the 4th of July!  We usually are either attending a friends BBQ/Pool celebration or spending time together!

I used Firecracker Timeless TwineStar Sequins and clearly beautiful sequins from Bella Creationz and Timeless Twine!  The background is a piece of plain kraft cardstock.  The paper in the star, the tag, banner flags and strip through the middle were all from a paper pack from WRMK Yankee Doodles.

Below is the tic-tac-toe board to use for your project!  I went straight through the middle......twine, gold and mist.  I colored my image with Tombow Art Markers, used a doily to mask the background then sprayed with Glimmer Mist in Sand.  Added a gold button from my stash and some natural white twine and a few clear sequins from Bella Creationz.

Happy Hump Day!

Hey there crafty friends, I am up on the Timeless Twine blog once again with another fun project using Bella Creationz and Timeless Twine!!

With Graduation in full swing everywhere, my fair share of announcements have arrived at my home as well!  I created this cute money holder to send to a fine young man graduating High School.

I found this little lovely on Pinterest.  This is my second one of these, and I still need one more for this year's class!

I used Navy blue and forest green bazzil cardstock, along with some white scraps.  The owl is punched using the owl punch from Stampin Up.  I used the "Oh Snap" stamp setsparkly clear sequins and natural white twine.  Loving how it turned out and masculine enough to give to a young man!

Technique Tuesday - Stenciling with Glimmer Mist

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It's my turn at Technique Tuesday over at Timeless Twine!  My technique today is using a stencil with glimmer mist spray.  I used this technique to create the diamond patterned background paper.

First I chose the stencil and the color of glimmer mist.  This is a Tim Holtz stencil and the color is tuscan sun.  What I usually do is tape the stencil down onto the paper so there is no shifting or moving of the stencil while the ink is still wet.

I used the "Oh Snap" stamp set from Bella Creationz and Timeless Twine!  I used the polaroid frame and cut it out to create an actual frame!  I added a doily, some natural white and orange twine along with some simply beautiful sequins!  The flower and brad were from my stash.

Thanks for checking us out!  You won't be sorry you did!
