{BYSHC} Spring into Christmas Linky Party - Merry Christmas!

Today is the last day of the {BYSHC} Spring into Christmas Linky Party! Be sure to get your entries in by midnight!

Today's card was mostly done from scraps, but had to find some other papers that went together! LOL

The background paper and the "ho ho ho" papers are both from PhotoPlay Gnome for Christmas. I modified {BYSHC} Sketch 32 and turned it vertical rather than horizontal. The brick paper is a scrap from another project but I thought it fit nicely! Circles of red and vellum were die cut from scraps using the Unity Stamp Co. Scallops and circles nesting dies. The santa gnome is from Unity Stamp Co as well, he's from a set called Joy & Blessings. He was partially colored but I think he may not have gone with the paper I was using at the time....so he got set aside!  I finished coloring him (oops I see now that I missed one of the flags) and used some foam tape to lift him up a bit! Sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co. set gotta love sentiments, stamped with black versafine clair and embossed with WOW! Clear embossing powder. Gina Marie Designs enamel dots to finish it off!
Thanks for visiting with us all week! Good luck if you entered!

{BYSHC} Spring into Christmas Linky Party - Jolly

Another entry ready for the {BYSHC} Spring into Christmas Linky Party!! Be sure to link up any and all entries by midnight on the 28th! The list of sponsors providing prizes are incredible!!

My card today features a bunch of papers all sitting on my desk!! LOL It happens! You make a card in a hurry, leave all the scraps EVERYWHERE and when you come back to it...it's like "hmmm these could all go together and create something else!" Well that's what happened here!

Background paper from Echo Park Santa Claus Lane, the tree line was a strip cut from Echo Park Gnome for Christmas. Stamps are from Unity Stamp Co. KOM November 2022. The vellum circle was cut using scallops and circles nesting dies also from Unity.  Red and gold enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs. Simple and easy and ready for Christmas!

I followed Sketch 32 from {BYSHC} which I've added below!

Building My Stash! {BYSHC} Sketch 32

Hello crafty friends! {BYSHC} are here to help build your stash of Christmas cards to ease the stress of the holidays! Sketch 32 is open until the end of April!

This card started with a white card base. I added a piece of black, then followed the sketch for measurements for the rest. The plaid and snowflake paper are from an older set I no longer have the name of. The polkadot paper is from Unity Stamp Co. The santa head and sentiment along with the dies used are also from Unity Stamp Co. (Merry Christmas from Cheery Christmas, Santa head from KOM 11/22, circle die set, banner dies were part of a past Whit Kit). I stamped the santa head and sentiment using walnut distress ink onto kraft cardstock. Then die cut and distressed the edges with a little more ink. Switched up the sketch layout so that Santa was looking the right way! LOL As you can see, sketches are a leaping off point.  Switch them around to fit your specific need! My circle is bigger and on the opposite side of the card, but the layout is basically the same! Have fun with it!!

Onto bigger and better things! Starting next week (April 21st) BYSHC will be sponsoring a Spring Into Christmas Linky Party! Lots of inspiration and tons of prizes from an amazing list of sponsors! Be sure to come back next week for the fun!!

{BYSHC} Sketch 32

Happy April!! Wow what a blur! I'm late posting my first card for this month's sketch for a couple reasons.....most importantly my daughter's 16th birthday! I want to brag on her for a second. She's been dancing since age 3, had a dance competition this weekend. Started Friday afternoon (had to miss a 1/2 day of school) with solo. She was asked Friday night to understudy a dance that she's NOT the understudy for. Learned the dance overnight, had to go to the studio to get the costume then get to the comp in time to run it with the rest of the group and perform! She killed it! Had another dance that night that took 1st overall! Sunday was her birthday. She danced ALLLLLL day! Friends made her feel special all day long with hugs and gifts. 4 dances.....3 first overall, 1 second overall. It was an amazing and exhausting weekend!

So here we are on Tuesday! Back to reality! :)

My card for the sketch features some paper from My Minds Eye called Christmas Wish. The stamp set I used is from Unity Stamp Co. called Joy & Blessings. Colored with Tombow ABT markers. The circle is die cut twice from vellum. The center circle is popped up with foam tape. The circles are from Unity Stamp Co. too.....scallops & circles nesting dies. Sequins are added for sparkle! They are from Spiegelmom Scraps in a set called country winter.

Thanks for visiting! See ya next time!
