Welcome to March!

Wow, here it is the first Tuesday in March already!!  Thanks for visiting!  First things first.......I need to announce the winner of the $5 Meljen's Gift Certificate from last week's Blog Hop!!

Missy......you are the winner!!  Please send me an email (j_valensky@hotmail.com) and I'll get you your prize!!  Thanks so much to everyone for commenting and playing along with the hop!!  The DT had a great time too!!

This weeks challenge at Clear It Out is to create a humor themed project with the stash item to be a charm or pin.  My husband and son are both avid fishermen, so when I saw this guy, it just made me chuckle!!

For this week's project I've chosen Pebbles Front Porch paper and some Tim Holtz Kraft-Core paper.  I colored in my image, Gus-Fish-Whisperer, from Bugaboo Stamps with Tombow Art Markers.  I used twine and a fishing charm I had in my stash.  I did also use the #14 sketch from Seize the Sketch as a starting point.

Just because you don't follow the sketch exactly, doesn't mean you can't use it. Sometimes all it takes is an idea to get the juices flowing!

Thanks for checking us out at CIO Challenge and can't wait to see what you come up with!!
