Clear it Out!!

Just like the name says, it's CLEAR IT OUT week at Clear It Out Challenge Blog!  Clear out all the clutter and whatever you've been "hoarding!"

Not sure that hoarding is the right word, but you know what I'm talking about!  For example, my project this week, the paper used was purchased for my son's baby shower scrapbook page layout......He'll be 12 in September!  I'm pretty sure that I won't be getting anymore baby pictures of him!!

The brads are also from many, many years ago!  I used my Tombow Art Markers to color this little cutie pie brought to you by our awesome sponsor, Lacy Sunshine!!  I used some stickles on the stars and some Lemonade Yellow Timeless Twine from Bella Creationz.  The stamped sentiment is from Stampin Up.

I also used a sketch from MyFavoriteThings!  They have a new sketch each week!

Until next time!!

Spring and Polka Dots!

Spring is in the air and what better fun way to bring in Spring.....polka dots!

This week at Clear It Out Challenge it's all about the dots and birthdays!

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps!

My image was colored with Tombow Art Markers.  I used some AC Dots & Stripes paper.  I also added some Bubble Gum Pink Twine and Metallic Plum Purple Sequins (coming soon) from Bella Creationz and Timeless Twine!

I have to share a second card that was made by my 7 year old daughter, Anna.  She snagged the first image I printed and made a card for her friend!  Such a sweetie!

She also used Tombow Art Markers to color her image and also used the AC Dots & Stripes paper.  She used some golden bling for the candle flame and some Metallic Marsala Sequins (coming soon) from Bella Creationz & Timeless Twine!

Be sure to check out Bugaboo Stamps!!

Fun Friday!

Here it is.......FRIDAY!!  It's my turn at Fun Friday over at Timeless Twine!  Fun Friday is all about trying new things and jumping outside your comfort zone!  This was a hard one for me!  If I'm not comfortable, I usually pass it up!  The search was on!  I've always wanted to try string art, but thought it would be too difficult!  My dad made a beautiful string art way back in the day using nails and string and it was gorgeous!

So on a smaller scale than the artwork my dad created, I've chosen a smaller design and cardstock!  I printed the pattern, traced the dots and grabbed an embroidery needle and some  Raspberry Pink Timeless Twine!  I used some gems on the antenna, but drew the head and face.  I used some white frost and metallic raspberry sequins on this project too!  Both of which will be available at Bella Creationz soon!  The paper is from Echo Park Springtime Collection!

The sentiment stamp is from Stampin Up!  And by the way, this card is also based on a sketch from My Favorite Things!

Don't be afraid to try something new!  During this process I realized that it wasn't as hard as I thought and have added several patterns to my to-do pile to give a try!  You just never know what new fun thing you could discover!

Throw Back Thursday!

Today is my turn at Throw Back Thursday at Timeless Twine!  To take a project from a previous time and re-make it!!  I had so much fun with this task!!  To look back through some of the cards and projects that I have made in the past and try to figure out which needed a makeover!  I've chosen an Easter card that I made last year.  The top picture is the makeover, the bottom was the original!

The newly created card was done with My Minds Eye Quite Contrary - Jack and Jill paper, Timeless Twine in Lemonade Yellow and Bella Creationz sequins in Clearly Beautiful!  I used a Unity Stamp Co. set (some bunny thinking of you) and followed a sketch at My Favorite Things!  I absolutely LOVE the newer version!
