Merry Christmas Shaker Card for {BYSHC} Sketch 43

Sketch 43 will run through the end of March! Be sure to post your entry on the {BYSHC} Facebook page!

When I originally saw this sketch I thought "SHAKER CARD" but needed to make the time to get it done! The background papers are from Heidi Swapp, the stamped image (Ornamental greetings) and shaker dies (unfortunately no longer available) are from Unity Stamp Co. Measured and cut the papers according to the sketch, created the shaker and added some silver beads and the yellow stars pulled from the Twiddler's Nook pastel shooting stars confetti pack. White twine was purchased at the grocery store! LOL Yes it's simply bakers twine used for a turkey! LOL

Don't forget to mark your calendars to join us for the Spring into Christmas 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party which begins on the 19th of April and runs through the 26th. Lots of fun, inspiration and prizes to be had!! More details to come!

{BYSHC} Sketch 43!

Hey there and welcome! I've been a little behind with my posts, so get ready! LOL Sketch 43 started March 1st at {BYSHC} and will run through the month of March! As was announced at the beginning of the year...each month's prize is brought to you by one of our amazing sponsors! This month its Twiddler's Nook! Tiny embellishments and all sorts of accessories!

This card was fun to make! I used a digital image from Angie Blom Digital Designs called Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas. Background patterned paper is older from Stampin Up! Printed image onto watercolor paper and colored with Tombow Dual Brush Markers. I die cut a vellum circle, but it just wasn't enough. This snowflake acrylic sheet was just sitting there waiting for me to discover it! :) It was die cut with the scallops and circles nesting die set from Unity Stamp Co.  I fussy cut Santa out with my cutter bee scissors and popped him up with some foam tape. The tiny yellow stars came from a multicolor pack of confetti from Twiddler's Nook, that I pulled only the yellow ones out! :) And to not lose them on my desk....I used one of their embellishment trays!

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to come back and see what else is in store for the month!

Be sure to mark your calendars for the Spring Into Christmas 2024 BYSHC Linky Party! It will be all sorts of fun and creativity!! This will start April 19th and run through the 26th. A list of sponsor will be posted soon, but based on past events....you won't want to miss this!!

{BYSHC} and Sketch 42!

{BYSHC} and Sketch 42 are coming into the final stretch for the month of February! That was fast!

You know how some cards are just "meh" in your mind and you're just not sure if you actually like it or not?!? That was this one for me! LOL.

I started with a white card base. I then added the turquoise background, then kraft to that. I followed the measurements on the sketch (below) and cut the fun colorful panels (paper from My Minds Eye Christmas Wish). The image is a digital image from Newton's Nook Designs...it happens to be one of their freebies! I had submitted this one for a color challenge a little while back on their blog! Colored with King Art alcohol markers and die cut with a postage stamp nesting die set from Unity Stamp Co.  Tied with some natural jute twine from May Art Ribbons and mounted with foam tape! Easy peasy! :)

They don't all have to be masterpieces or your "favorite" to be appreciated and loved by the recipient! <3

Also don't forget that each month our sketch's are sponsored by one of our amazing friends! For February it's Not-2-Shabby! Although this image isn't one of theirs, they do have a lot to choose from!! They have provided us with a discount code (see it below) and also an amazing prize package to be sent to the February winner!

We are in the home stretch! Sketch 40!

And just like that it's December! If you have been following {BYSHC} all year long with our sketches, your Christmas card stash should be overflowing with goodness!!! This is the last sketch of the year!! All entries are due by December 31! Use it to either finish the cards that are going out this year, or to get a jump start on next year!

This digital image and papers are from Rachel Ann Miller (RAM) Stamps. RAM  Stamps is a sponsor of our linky parties! I received an email about a sale, went to the website and well here we are!! :) I purchased this cute "woodland snowman." The paper pack I purchased is called "snowy Christmas." I'm familiar with digital stamps, but this is a first with the digital paper pack!!  I started with a white cardbase, to that I added a piece of kraft cardstock (from Unity). I printed the image onto cardstock and colored with Tombow ABT Markers. The clouds were created using a cloud stencil from Unity and some distress ink blended over it. I then die cut it and another panel of kraft using the scallops and rectangle nesting dies from Unity. I turned the sketch on it's side to accommodate the image! Cut the two pieces of patterned paper to the measurements listed and then tied some white bakers twine around into a bow. I mounted the image over the twine using foam tape.  The sentiment was stamped directly to the patterned paper and is from Unity (small stuff Christmas). The enamel dots added are from Gina Marie Designs!

I love how sweet this turned out! Be sure to check out all the sponsors and my links for more information!
