{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Peace Love Joy

I just can't stop making cards! LOL The Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party ends on Friday! How many cards will be entered?!?

My card started with a piece of patterned paper that came in a "thank you" bag from Unity Stamp Co., not sure which pack it's from. I found a sketch that would work with the stamp set I grabbed (Unity's The Sweetest Snowman), and sketch 55 it is! Die cut the patterned paper with the largest die from the scallops and rectangles nesting dies. This one was easy to put together! Just colored this sweet guy in with King Art Alcohol Markers. The hardest part?!?!? Finding the right base colors for both the card base and the backer for the image! LOL Ultimately I found a dark green scrap big enough for the snowman, but not for the entire card! I added the sentiment to the snowman....couldn't figure out a better place!

Feels a little plain, but the plaid is pretty predominant!

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Magic of Christmas

Hello and welcome back! The Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party is rounding the bend! Only a few days left to get your entries in for a chance at some amazing prizes!

Considering that today is "Membership Makes Wednesday at Unity Show & Tell, I've created this lovely card using two of the amazing membership kits!

This started with a piece of white cardstock to which I stamped the Unity Background of the Month 11/21...branches and berries using Gina K Designs Dye ink in fresh asparagus. Next I stamped the cute deer and tree from the Uniquely Unity Kit from 10/24....simply holiday deer using Versafine Clair Nocturne. I used an edge die called Land Borders Die Set from Newton's Nook Designs.  I did die cut the edge before coloring. Then I smooshed some distress oxide in vintage photo and lumberjack plaid onto an acrylic block and added some water and the use of a water brush to color this guy in. The ornament and star were colored with Tombow ABT Markers. I then glued everything together and die cut the entire panel with the largest of the scallops and rectangles nesting die set from Unity. The sentiment from the same Uniquely Unity kit was also stamped and then fussy cut into individual strips and glued on. The colored pearls are from Gina Marie Designs!

For those of you following along......both of the solid cardstock pieces were scraps from a 12x12 sheet that I had die cut a bunch of boxes for my daughter's graduation gifts!! :)

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Let it Snow x3

Hello crafty friends! I'm here with another card for the Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party that was created with what could have been trash because I didn't like how it turned out. When in doubt die cut it out! LOL

The snowflake kraft background didn't turn out as I had originally hoped, but I refuse to throw anything away so I needed to repurpose it!  The snowflakes and the sentiments are from the Unity Stamp Co. September 2024 Kit of the Month {wander and wonder}. You may recognize them from a previous card I posted....I stamped the sentiment 7-8 times in various colors and textures to get the right color for the card I posted a couple days ago. Again, because I cannot throw anything away, I cut them up and found some paper that would work with the different colors of blue. The snowflakes were stamped onto kraft cardstock with ink on 3 clear embossing ink and left to dry. As I was putting the card together I thought the snowflakes were a little boring so I sprinkled some WOW! Embossing Powder in Ultra Shimmer Glitter over the now mostly dry ink. The powder didn't stick to much, but enough to give it a little sparkle. I die cut this panel with a scallops and rectangle nesting die and followed {BYSHC} Sketch 16 to cut and measure the patterned paper (from cloud hopper chronicles and snowy winter greetings) and glued everything together. I added some foam adhesive to the sentiments to make them pop!

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Warm Winter Wishes

Hello again! The Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party is close to the end! Be sure to have your entries submitted to the blog before midnight on the 25th!

My card today features, you guessed it.....more scraps! The {BYSHC} Sketches are a great way to use up some scraps! These tiny squares are just over 1" square. I had to adjust the measurements due to the rectangle I die cut from Unity's scallops and rectangle nesting dies. The patterned paper is all from PhotoPlay "It's a Wonderful Christmas." I measured and cut them each, added them to the white die cut panel and then moved onto the tag. Cut with the make a tag die set from Unity. Die cut the smallest tag die from red cardstock. Printed and fussy cut the mug from Angie Blom Digital Designs Joy Mugs. Colored with KingArt Alcohol markers and added it to the tag. The tag was add using foam adhesive. The sentiment is from Unity September 2024 KOM {wander and wonder} which I stamped and then cut into smaller pieces. Finally I added some twine and enamel dots.

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Cozy

I'm creating a bunch of cards for my stash! Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party is the best time to do that!

I am also continuing to go through scraps and put stuff together! The background and mug were both printed with multiples on the sheet, so they were leftover! They are both from Angie Blom Digital Designs! The mug is from Christmas Joy Mugs and the background is Christmas Joy Script Background. The background was ink blended all over with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide and then I roughed the edges up with my scissors. I followed {BYSHC} Sketch 20 for this one and measured the papers and cut accordingly. The snowflake paper is from Photoplay "It's a wonderful Christmas." The sentiment came from a cut-apart sentiment sheet (there are a couple, but here's one) from Unity Stamp Co which I attached with foam adhesive and then added some tiny enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs!

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Merry Little Christmas

We are moving right along with this Linky Party! Don't forget to have your entries submitted before midnight on the 25th to be eligible for some amazing prizes!

Another sketch and more scraps! I sometimes wish I wasn't so stingy with the cutting up of paper! LOL I reach for scraps before I cut into a new piece of paper! This paper is pretty old, Fancy Pants Designs Saint Nick (circa 2011). I followed the sketch measurements for sketch 24, placed the pieces all together then used the largest scallops and rectangles nesting dies from Unity Stamp Co. to die cut the whole thing. The square in the center was also die cut using the scallops and squares nesting dies from Unity as well. The stocking image and the sentiment are from the Unity October 2024 Kit of the Month {sweet bliss of Christmas}

I added a little bit of red and white twine and foam adhesive for a little texture and dimension!

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Joyful Greetings

Hello again and welcome back!

Another card using one of the scrap backgrounds I created! This time I positioned the strips horizontally and then die cut with the largest non-scalloped rectangle from the Unity Co. die set. I followed the measurements on the {BYSHC} Sketch 11 and I love how it turned out! Used the scallops and circles nesting dies for the circles. The ornament piece was from My Minds Eye kit called "i believe." The sentiment is from a Unity kit called ...cheerful prancing.

My card features one of the amazing sponsors for our party.....RAM Stamps! Today I have chosen Snowy Christmas Digital Paper Pack and Woodland Snowman Digital Stamp. I colored the scene with Kingart Alcohol Markers, and followed the measurements for {BYSHC} Sketch 47! I attached the die cut square and the sentiment with foam adhesive and added some light blue enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs.

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Let it Snow

Hello again friends! I continue to create cards for the Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party! Seems like once I get going, I can't stop!

This one came about after an attempt at a background that I didn't like too much, so I cut it up! LOL This is an element from the Unity Stamp Co. September 2024 Kit of the Month {wander and wonder}. The snowflakes were stamped with Ink on 3 clear embossing ink, then sprinkled with Gina K. Designs white embossing powder. I die cut the kraft panel and the patterned paper (from Unity Cloud Hopper Chronicles) with the scallops and squares nesting dies and adhered them together a little off set. The wooden snowflake was sprayed with Distress Stain in Picket Fence and attached with a glue dot. The sentiment is also from the same KOM, stamped in broken china distress oxide and then fussy cut. All was glued down with ATG tape.

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Joy to the World

Hello again friends! The Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party continues to inspire!

My card was created using the Painted Poinsettias stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. Started with a scrap piece of white cardstock, I stamped the two layers of the poinsettia once in festive berries distress ink and the second on top with lumberjack plaid distress oxide. I added the center with versa fine clair nocturne. I then cut the panel with the make a tag die set from Unity Stamp Co. Added some red eyelash trim to the top.

I grabbed a piece of double sided paper from Holly Jolly Paper Collection by Miss Kate Cuttables. Cut the papers according to {BYSHC} Sketch 51, die cut with the scallops and rectangles nesting dies and added some mint colored ribbon to cover the transition.
Be sure to have your creations  uploaded to the {BYSHC} Blog before Friday the 25th to be eligible for some amazing prizes!

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Oh, Christmas Tree

Welcome back! The party continues!

My card features some more scraps, this time from Fancy Pants Designs, Saint Nick collection (circa 2011). I chose the snowglobe stamp from the Unity Stamp Co. 2021 Advent Calendar and Sketch 17.

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Merry Little Christmas

Hello again! Still creating cards to build my stash! The linky party runs through Midnight on the 25th! Be sure to get your entries posted to the {BYSHC} Blog before then! You can also find the entire list of sponsors there too!

My card today used some scraps from the Unity Stamp Co. paper pack Old Fashioned Holiday (November 2023 Whit Kit). These papers were literally already die cut (Unity Stamp Co. Scallops and Rectangles Nesting Dies) and ready to assemble! I grabbed the matching stamp set called Merry Everything Poinsettia and stamped the large silhouette in Lumberjack Plaid, the abstract line drawing using versafine clair nocturne and the largest leaf in Gina K. Designs Grass Green. I fussy cut the flower and used the matching die set (doesn't appear to be still available) to cut the leaves and the word Christmas. I used {BYSHC} Sketch 28 for this one!

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Merry Christmas

Hello there! Friday the 25th is the deadline for entries to be eligible for some FANTASTIC prizes!!

If you have been around for a little while, you have seen me create these backgrounds with scraps. It is so satisfying to see it come to life! This particular combination made four backgrounds. This one that's diagonal, two that are horizontal and one that was a combo of some of the pieces! Stay tuned for those to make an appearance!

Patterned paper, red cardstock, green cardstock and cream/yellow cardstock cut into 1/2" strips. Normally I use a piece of copy paper to reduce bulk, but this time I used cardstock, then glued the strips down in rows. I left a tiny bit of white between the strips, but have done them without a space. Once all are stuck down, cut 1/2" strips across the grain. Once the strips are cut I then stick them to another piece of cardstock/copy paper to create the background. This one in particular I arranged them diagonally, then die cut the entire piece with the largest scallops and rectangle nesting dies from Unity Stamp Co.

I then took a sentiment (previously stamped and not used) and cut slits into the ends for the ribbon to thread through. Ribbon from stash, sentiment from Painted Poinsettias. I followed {BYSHC} Sketch 50 for this one!

{BYSHC} Christmas in July 2025 Linky Party - Peace Love Joy

I just can't stop making cards! LOL The Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party ends on Friday! How many cards will be entered?!? ...
