Still needed more!

After making 35 cards with Jingle Belles Rock this past year, I've realized one thing......next year I need to make more! LOL

Here are some more that I made last minute to get them mailed!!

Most of these were inspired by Pinterest, some contain scraps, some contain recycled Christmas cards from the past and some I cut up perfectly good 12 x 12 paper to make!  LOL

Believe it or not, I still have about 7 more to make for my neighbors!!  Next year 60+ is my goal!

*YUMMY!*

A feast for your eyes (and belly)!  This being the final prompt for this year at Jingle Belles Rock is all about the treats!

found the inspiration on Pinterest and used all scrap paper!  The twine and sentiment stamp are from BellaCreationz!  The good news is that I cut three gingerbread men so I can make two more cards for my stash and the even better news is that this one makes 35 cards!!

I am beyond happy that I have a stack of  beautiful handmade cards ready for mailing!  No staying up until mindnight/1am to get the cards finished!  Thank you Jingle Belles for an amazing year of creating!  Can't wait to start up again! :)

Poinsettias galore!

Mele Kalikimaka!!  Jingle Belles is going tropical!  Tropical greetings anyway!  This time around it's all about the blooms!!

Here in Florida, the Poinsettia is in it's ideal climate!  Our blooms last well into January!  We've actually planted our poinsettias and they've come back in December in full crimson glory!

These, however, are punched from red and green scraps using a Stampin Up five petal punch.  Background paper is from one of my best purchases from Tuesday Morning, Carta Bella warm and cozy.  Some *very old* thickers and some twine.....jute from May Arts Ribbon and multi from Timeless Twine by Bella Creationz!

*WARNING* Creatures stirring!

Coming into the home stretch at Jingle Belles Rock!  Tomorrow is November 1st and I'm really pleased with the pile of cards accumulated over the past few months!  The current challenge is for animals!

I've made two cards this time......one is almost too easy to post, but they all go into the mix so here are both!

Patterned papers are from Carta Bella Warm and Cozy.  Stamps are from Unity Stamp Co.  Twine from May Arts.

Like I said this one is *almost* too easy to count, but in the card stash it goes!  This one makes #33!  Recycled Christmas card backed by black cardstock and Christmas scrap paper!

Going *pink* - part two!

Since it's for a good cause and all......I made a second card for Jingle Belles Rock!

Is it bad that I have enough pink washi tape that I didn't have to re-use any one of them for this cute tree?!?!  Paper from Ms. Sparkle and Co. (Joann's), sentiment from Unity Stamp Co. and several different brands and sizes and patterns of washi tape!

Going *pink* for Breast Cancer Awareness!

Since this is my first time around with Jingle Belles Rock, I was unaware that this is a yearly tradition!  The first challenge in October is always PINK!

For each card posted, the administrators have pledged to donate $2 each (there are two of them) to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation!  So super awesome!!

This is my entry for this challenge.....it is not quite as pink as I had hoped, so maybe I'll get another one made before days end! :)

Paper used is from Ms. Sparkle and Co. (Joann's), the stripe is from stash.  I stamped Holiday Joy Christmas Tree (Unity Stamp Co.) on watercolor paper.  Ribbon is from stash and pink/brown twine is from Timeless Twine (timeless twine).

Let it Snow!

The latest challenge at Jingle Belles Rock is all about the white stuff......*SNOW*

Since hubby is out of town, I've managed two cards today!  While both are lifted from Pinterest, they aren't *exactly* the same!  The first one uses an image from a company no longer in business.....MelJen Designs.  I fussy cut the adorable snowman after I gave him a little color.   Embossed the background and then brushed over it with some distress ink.  The patterned paper came from Echo Park ~ Jack and Jill.  Punched a few snowflakes, added some pearls and a sentiment (Unity Stamp Co.) and viola!

The second one is also lifted from Pinterest, but I didn't pull out the sewing machine to stitch the edges....used a marker to get the same effect!  The plaid paper also came from Echo Park ~ Jack and Jill.  The blue solid is from my stash.  The stamp used is from Unity Stamp Co. (which appears to may be no longer available).

Peace on Earth

Peace on Earth is such a nice thought!  That's the current challenge at Jingle Belles Rock!

At first I was worried it was a little too "dark" for a Christmas card, but it's got snowflakes and sparkles, what more could you want?!?  I used paper from Carta Bella (Warm and Cozy), twine from Timeless Twine (Bella Creationz) and sentiment from Tim Holtz.

Shape-up for the Holidays!

The current challenge posted at Jingle Belles Rock is to "shape up" for the holidays!  Make a card that is a shape!

here's my contribution!  I have made these snowman cards into tags for Christmas before, but not an entire card!  Mine is a little short and squatty compared to the Pinterest inspiration (and my sentiment is crooked now that I look at it), but it still makes me smile!

Getting "sketchy!"

Jingle Belles Rock has presented us with a sketch this time!  I *love* sketches!!

This is my take on it!

I used several paper pads...background from Carta Bella Beach Day, pine bough and the red circles from Carta Bella Warm and Cozy.  The "ornament" is from imaginisce cottage Christmas chipboard collection and ribbon is from stash.  Since the ornament piece already had a sentiment, I used the ribbon as the banner on the sketch.

Here is the sketch for reference....

Getting A"header"

The current post at Jingle Belles Rock is all about their blog header!  To make a card inspired by their header is the request!

Here's the inspiration.....

and here is  my take on it......

when I looked at the header, I saw the scalloped edge, the silver snowflake, brown, teal and green combined.

Papers are from Carta Bella and Echo Park.  The "holly jolly" banner is from Authentique.  The burlap cutout is from my stash, the silver snowflake is from Making Memories and the buttons are from Doodlebug Designs.

All Bundled Up!

The current prompt at Jingle Belles is to "bundle up!"  Not with sweaters and scarves, but to bundle up the paper layers!

I have 5 layers here......besides the actual card base.....that would make 6 layers.  The wreath is cut from a recycled card.  All patterned paper is from an old 6x6 paper pack by My Minds Eye....Holly Jolly.

Stars & Stripes (not THOSE stars & stripes)

The prompt at Jingle Belles honors my beloved country!  In honor of last week's 4th of July holiday it's all about the stars and/or stripes!

While I have to admit that it's not the most creative entry, it fits the bill and fills my card basket for December!!

I've used a card front from a recycled card.  If you look closely the border and the diamonds on the pot are striped.  Also dont miss the star atop the tree!  Easy peasy lemon squeezy and in the stash it goes!

White Christmas?

Growing up in Michigan, I've had my share of White Christmases.....but now living in Florida.....not so much! LOL

This week's prompt at Jingle Belles Rock is to create an all white card.  Or in my case *almost* all white!

Some recycled card elements, some scraps of white/grey put together, stickles and pearls and voila'!  Grey/white polka dot on left is the back of a photo card, grey dot on the right is scrap.  Stars punched from a recycled card, Star Dust Stickles all over the stamped image and pearls purchased at WalMart!

Made it to 20 cards!  Not too shabby having 20 cards ready for Christmas in the middle of June!  *feeling accomplished!*

Christmas Bells

This week's prompt at Jingle Belles Rock is to have a bell.  After much searching (and lots of grumbling) I couldn't find one bell in any of my stash or years and years worth of cards to recycle! So what does one do when you don't have a pre-fab embellishment?  You make your own!  :)

Luckily my kids LOVE *love* LOVE perler beads!

The sentiment was taken from a recycled card!  I also feel that it needs something more.....maybe some bling or dots of some kind, but I'll keep looking at it and make a decision!

finished cards = 19

Tie on a Holiday Ribbon!

The current prompt at Jingle Belles Rock is to tie on a holiday ribbon!

I lifted this card directly from Pinterest!

Image is from Unity Stamp Co., red ribbon was purchased from Michael's and the twine is from Bella Creationz.

card count up to 18!

"Home" for the holidays!

The current challenge at Jingle Bells Rock is to include a building of some kind on your card.

During the last challenge (earth day/recycle) I cut up a bunch of cards we had received throughout the years....I knew I had kept them for a reason!

Today's card is using one of those images I cut from a recycled card from last year.

It was difficult to get a good picture with our dreary weather today.  Background paper is from an old Fancy Pants paper pack.  Sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co.

p.s. card count update = 16 :)

Peace on Earth (Day)!

The current prompt at Jingle Belles Rock is in honor of Earth Day!  Recycle, recycle, recycle!

We are encouraged to used recycled materials in our cards....this one is made with a portion of a photo card.  The "Merry Christmas" part was cut from that photo card.

I used paper packs from Joann's....Ms. Sparkle & Co., some buttons from my stash and twine from Timeless Twine.  Hoping to make more, I have gone through my cards and have about 10 recycled elements ready to use, just no time!!

Color Challenge - Jingle Belles Rock

The latest challenge at Jingle Belles Rock is a color challenge!  It's called "an orange in your stocking" and yes, I do remember getting an orange in my stocking!  LOL

This is the inspiration photo:
What I see when I look at the photo is the stark white background, with the vibrant and cheerful accent colors of melon/orange and shades of green.

So this is what I came up with!

Stark white background which I embossed with snowflakes!  Popped up my accent colored design (Unity Stamp Co. Ornamental Season) which I colored with my Tombow Art Markers and some star dust stickles! I love the contrast!

Let them SING!

Hark the herald angels sing!  This is the prompt at Jingle Belles Rock this week......music!

I managed to make two cards today, both completely different from the other!  I printed this background paper, found a pad of tags I had completely forgotten about and the sentiment is cut directly from a recycled Christmas card!

While waiting for the background paper to print, I remembered that I had some musical notes washi tape.....so into the washi tape storage I went a digging!  I had purchased these mini doodle-pops during a closeout sale forever ago and thought they needed to come out!

This brings my total to 13 cards!  Hubby going out of town this week....there may be more coming!

Merry "LITTLE" Christmas!

At least that is the latest prompt at Jingle Bells Rock!

Inches (1") and Twinches (2") to be featured on your card.  Mine are 1 3/8" squares.....so it's in between!

I used one of my favorite My Favorite Things sketches (slightly modified) and a square punch.  The squares are punched from an old Christmas card from a previous year.  Very simple, very easy!  Another one for the year end stash!

Missed it by THAT much!

Well I missed the Jingle Belle's prompt for this week's card by an hour and a half! LOL  If my family didn't need dinner, I would have made it in time!

All kidding aside, I did finish the card, it's not on their challenge page, but it's finished and going into the stash for December, that was the ultimate point of me joining this blog challenge!  So here it is, in all it's glory!

The prompt this time was for a colored image.  I used Holiday Joy from Unity Stamp Co.  I watercolored it using my Tombow Art Markets, added some stickles and a tag.

EDITED TO ADD THESE TWO!  I made two more cards for Jingle Belles Rock!!

used scraps for all, stamped sentiment is Stampin Up Alphabet Soup.  Homemade dots and buttons from stash!  That's three for the week!  I'm on a roll!  Can't wait to see what the pile looks like in December!

Text me!

This week's prompt at Jingle Belles is "text me!"  Simply put, use some text!   Letter stickers, dictionary pages, word patterned paper or just have your sentiment be the star!  My entry uses a recycled Christmas card and some "texty" paper!

Thanks for taking a look!  Hoping to make another this week......

Love you more than cupcakes!

When hubby goes out of town, I get to craft more often!!  I've made several cards so far this week, and more to come!

Submitting this for a "Kraft/Birthday" Challenge at Unity Show & Tell FB page.  I used this stamp for their last challenge....not realizing that I would be using it again!  It was already inked and sitting out on my craft desk, so what the hey!  It's a great stamp!

I'm also entering it into the MFT Sketch Challenge for this week.  Although it's another brand, I love their sketches and use them as a go to for most cards I make!  Love their sketches!

Here is the sketch for reference:

This is the colors suggested.

Followed this old sketch from MFT found on Pinterest.

Three Kings JB:18:02

Another Christmas Card for jingle belles!  This week's challenge is called "Three Kings."  Which of course references the three wise men visiting the baby Jesus, but in this case it's to include something in multiples of three on your card!

Lots of scraps used on this one!  I used the Stampin Up Petite Petals punch to create the poinsettias.  The twine and stamped sentiment are from Bella Creationz  and everything else is stash/scraps!

Thanks for visiting!

Happy New Year 2018! JB:18:01.

Happy New Year 2018!  I'm embarking on another challenge to myself to get organized!  I've subscribed to jingle belles and their challenge to make at least one Christmas/Holiday card each week to have a stash by next Christmas!  Here's to week one!

My MIL gifted me some washi tape and sparkly cording.  These cards use all of those!  I didn't care for the gold and silver together so I made two!  One for Christmas giving and one for Hanukkah giving!  Thanks for looking!

gold stars are from Bella Creationz, cream stars punched from cardstock.  Stamped sentiments are from Unity Stamp Co.

thanks for visiting!
