{BYSHC} Sketch 19 - more inspiration!

I took one double sided 6x6 sheet of SU Night Before Christmas paper and after much measuring and brain pain (lots of thinking it out for me this time!). Cut it correctly to use both sides! The tag is a recycled (used) tag my daughter received this past Christmas! I very rarely throw things away! LOL It matched the colors in the paper perfectly! The sentiment was cut from a large sheet of worded paper....I cut strips with the words I wanted! This one fit perfectly!

{BYSHC} Sketch 19 Challenge

Welcome to my blog where everyday I WISH I WAS SCRAPPIN! It's more about cardmaking these days rather than scrappin, but it's all sort of the same thing anyway....isn't it?!?

I'm here to share the newest Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Sketch! #19 is active! Goes all month and will certainly get some holiday cards into your stash for less to do in December!

My card today starts with a white card base. I've added some kraft cardstock on the background. The stars are embossed, then brushed with some Vintage Photo distress ink to add dimension and then I added some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer in the color Glitter Gloss. The focal stamp is from Unity Stamp Co. called Brightly Shining. The black and gold paper at the bottom is also from Unity....its called Resolutions. It was part of the January 2022 Whit Kit. Some quick distressing and a strip of gold sticker paper and viola!! You are done!

Sweets without the calories!

The current challenge at Jingle Belles is for sweets and treats! To create cards using holiday sweet treats!

I created this trio of Gingerbread men using Unity Stamps. The gingerbread men are from the 2020 Advent Calendar, the background is Christmas all Around and Merry Christmas is from Felt Stocking.

Used the sketch from {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 18. Challenge ends on January 31!

Happy New Year!!

I see that it's been a minute since I posted anything! Happy New Year! 2022! WOW!!

Keeping up with Jingle Belles all year kept me on track to not only have enough cards to send, but had extra left over!! You read that correctly...I HAD CARDS LEFT OVER!

So to start the new year I have two for the current prompt....what did Santa bring you! I am my own Santa and purchased the (new to me) die set and this adorable jingle girl from Unity Stamp Co (seemed appropriate).

Papers and acrylic dots from Unity, colored with Tombow Art Markers, twine from Timeless Twine by BellaCreationz. Used sketch #18 from BYSHCardmakers for the darker green card.

Polka Dot Orchard!

Since it is the season of all things sweets and cookies.....I created this sweet card with all the sweets and cookies ready to share!

Used a digital set from Polka Dot Orchard called Cookies for Santa! Digital stamps are so fun because you can make them big, make them smaller, print multiple copies so you can cut and paste.....over and over again! I fussy cut the cookie border, distressed with Vintage Photo Oxide. Cut out a select few "cookies" to color and sprinkle with sparkly glitter and pop up for dimension.

Unity Stamp Co. December Sketch Challenge

Unity Stamp Company is sponsoring a sketch challenge running the month of December! I love a good sketch! Lets be honest, we all could use a little help with being creative! Sketches provide that inspiration for me!

This is the latest submission that I have entered.

Created a watercolored/ink smooshed background. Added some gold gilding flakes to the corners. Stamped one of the beautiful butterflys from Grow.Transform. Evolve and used the new Many More Birthday's stamp and coordinating die!

December! WHEW!!

Where did the time go?!?! End of November with Thanksgiving and now it's less than a week until Christmas?!? Let's post some stuff I've been doing all this time!

Let's start with the Unity Stamp Co. 2021 Advent Calendar!! I missed out last year, but was determined to snag one this year! Trying to keep up with the days, but alas life has happened!! I will work to get each and every one stamped and created with! But have some fun in the process! Here are days 1-14!
