Christmas in July 2021 {BYSHC} Hop!

 Today is the last day of the BYSHC Christmas in July Hop!  I am so excited for all the entries!!

I have created this card using a new to me stencil by Hero Arts, some distress inks (festive berries & wild honey).  Sentiment from Unity Stamp Co. (gotta love sentiments) and some jewels from PinkFresh!

Another Christmas Story! (part 2)

 My last post shared how Jingle Belles are looking for creations based on your favorite Christmas movie, book, TV show or story.  Well as much as I love a classic.....Elf is my new favorite!

Paper and stars are from Unity Stamp Co.  Elf stamp is from pebbles and I printed one of my favorite lines from the movie on my printer!

A Christmas Story!

 Jingle Belles are asking for a creation based on your favorite Christmas book, movie, TV show, story!  I have a few favorites, but every year.....and I mean every year since I was a little girl....Charlie Brown Christmas has to be seen!  It's been difficult lately with it not being televised, but however I need to view it....you had better believe it's getting viewed!  It's just not Christmas without it! :)

BYSH Cardmakers Christmas in July Blog Hop

 I created another card for the BYSHCardmakers Christmas in July Blog Hop!

I have been having so much fun creating backgrounds using inks and stencils and just melding everything together in organized chaos to create backgrounds!  You literally can create any background and no two will ever be the same!

I created the background for this one using some distress inks and oxides and some sprays of water!  Smeared some inks onto an acrylic block, sprayed some water, swirled a paint brush through to soften the edges and then took a piece of water color paper and kept pressing it into the inks until I was satisfied with the coverage.  I think I went back and added a stencil on top and pressed some more for a different look and some interest.  Once that process was dry I inked up a Unity Stamp Co. background stamp (a little christmas carol) and another I'm not sure which kit it's from and gently stamped onto the page.  The snowman is also from Unity (snowmie). I stamped, colored and fussy cut him out and added foam adhesive to pop him up off the card.  The sentiment is from fancy pants designs (happy holidays stamps 2).

Growing in Unity Blog Hop!

 Welcome to the start of the GIU Blog Hop!  I'm your first stop!

I created a new card just for the hop using the Newest Whit Kit (Secret of Change) July 2021.

I created the background using some watercolor paper, some distress inks, some stencils, background stamps...lots of water...everything but the kitchen sink!  I used the sentiment from the kit and cut it up into pieces, inked each edge and glued them back down in order.  Distressed the edges, fussy cut and popped the butterflies up with foam tape.  Also used some of the acrylic glittery dots included in the kit!  This is one of those "favorite" cards you don't seem to want to sent to anyone! LOL

I also used some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer in Glitter Gloss on the wings!  Super sparkly!!  Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of the hop!  Next up is Holly! The rest of the hop order is listed below!
