It's a "banner" holiday!

This is the last official post for Jingle Belles this year!  I'm very proud of myself!  I only missed one prompt!

This last one of the year is all about the beautiful Jingle Belles banner!  It changes each year and this card was inspired by it!

Used Unity Stamps from ....cheerful prancing (p.s. they are having a big sale right now!) and mostly stuff from my stash!  snowflake embossing folder, scalloped border die cut that I cut the center out of us and shrunk it down to a square, doily and some pearl beads.

I have assembled quite a stash of cards all ready to be addressed and mailed!  This is the best thing that I have done for myself!  I used to sit and make cards until 1-2 am several nights in December!  I don't have an official total count as I've donated some and sold some along the way, but I have 45 here finished.....several more in the process of being finished and more design ideas in my head!  Can't wait to get started again in January! Thank you Jingle Belles!  Merry Christmas!

Baby It's COLD outside!

Being a (now) Floridian has changed my concept of "cold!"  Being that I'm originally from Michigan...I KNOW COLD!!  But with out latest cold front...it's definitely cold by Florida standards! Jingle Belles Rock has asked for warm weather gear on the next cards...hats, scarves, gloves, socks, mittens, jackets, etc.

These cuties are exactly what I need!  Warm fuzzy socks!  The stamps are from Unity Stamp Co.  I colored them in two different themes...the Florida version and the everyone else version! LOL

The blue paper is from BoBunny and the red polkadot is from My Minds Eye.  All else is stamped, colored and cut!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Critters of Christmas!

It's all about the animals!  Jingle Belles is asking for all the Christmas critters you can come up with!  I love my Unity Stamps for this challenge!  Lots of animals!  I chose the reindeer from .....cheerful prancing for this challenge!  I've made tons of cards using this set!  It's got it all!

I stamped them all on white cardstock, added some patterned paper (mostly scraps) that had been punched with a scalloped edge (stampin up scallop punch), added some jute twine (may arts) and there ya go!

Happy Hanukkah!

Not everyone celebrates Christmas!  There are a lot of other denominations that celebrate in December as well!  Jingle Belles are asking for cards for the other holiday's celebrated.  I do need a few Hanukkah/Winter cards and found some inspiration on Pinterest.

This first one is inspired by a Birthday card I made.....instead of multi color tape, I used blue.  I hand drew the flames and stamped the letters.

This second card was made by using a snowflake punch and some pearl bead drops from my stash.  Printed sentiment and there you have it!  Not sure how it will mail with the beads, but maybe a local delivery will work!

Peace on Earth

The current card challenge at Jingle Belles is for peace!  Couldn't we all use more peace in our lives?!

Somewhat plain and simple, but elegant just the same.  Printed the branches onto watercolor paper, blended Tim Holtz Stormy Sky and Stampin Up Not Quite Navy to make the sky.  While the ink was still damp, I sprinkled on some WOW! Ultra Shimmer Embossing Glitter.  I saw a tip that suggested if the glitter is somewhat loose to spray it with hairspray to keep it from flaking off.  It seemed to help, but was still a little flaky.

This is still a work in progress!  I printed several copies of the tree and will continue to tweak it until I absolutely love it!  I love it now, but I know that it has much more potential!  So for now, I'm submitting it as is!

12 Days of Christmas

The current holiday card prompt at Jingle Belles is the create something with a number (i.e. 25 or 12 days of Christmas).  With nothing to be found in my stash I went to Pinterest!  Printed myself some images and viola!

Clearly not the best picture!  LOL  Used some Christmas pack scraps and my printed partridges and came up with these!

Tag it!

The current challenge at Jingle Belles is to "tag it!"  I went digging and found some cute tags, but the two cards I have made.....used plain tags!  Anything goes!

This first one is using scraps that I have pulled form my scrap box!  The Santa is lifted from a up-cycled card.

This one I think is my favorite!  Perfect chance to say NEVER THROW ANYTHING AWAY!  The tag used here was basically trash!  I embossed it with the wrong folder....I then used it to punch the star out for another project....it was in the trash pile!  I added some gold paper and another up-cycled card sentiment and some gold bling and here we are!

Thanks for looking!

Blue Christmas!

Wow!!  Summer kicked my butt!  I'm finally alone with my crafts and able to create again!  Kids home with all their activities for the summer was great!  I miss having them around all day!  So I'm back at it!  Christmas cards to save my sanity in December!  Just found out that we will be having guests for Thanksgiving which will cut into the card making time as well!  Better get back on it!

Jingle Belles Rock's current challenge is "Blue Christmas."  You guessed it.....blue cards!!  I finished one and am working on a second to add to my stash!

I inked a piece of white cardstock with  Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Stormy Sky and also Stampin Up Not Quite Navy.  The small snowflake is SU, the large (hard to see) is from Unity Stamp Co.  "Joy" was die cut from a sheet of glitter paper and the twine is from Bella Creationz!  Easy Peasy!

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Jingle Belles' is currently celebrating the jolly man himself!

It's a little difficult to get into the Christmas spirit and think about Santa Claus when it's hotter than the surface of the sun outside!  Living in Florida it feels like that right about now......mid June!  With that being said.....

My cards may seem a bit simple, but are effective!  Using some scraps and pieces from multiple Christmas pads, up-cycled cards and some twine, I've added two more cards to the stash for year end!

This one features a Santa gnome from Imaginisce Cottage Christmas Collection.  Papers are from My Minds Eye and Tim Holtz, Sentiment from Unity Stamp Co. and twine from Bella Creationz.  Sketch from My Favorite Things.

This one features the up-cycled front of an old Christmas card.  Papers are from an unknown source (they are pieces from the scrap box), twine from Michael's and dots from Gina Marie designs.  Sketch from Paper Play Sketches.

Text-y Christmas

The creation request at Jingle Belles is for a "text-y Christmas!"

These are what I've come up with.  Both use upcycled Christmas cards (my friends/families send the best cards)!!

I'm at 29 cards so far!

Vintage Christmas!

The current challenge at Jingle Belles is for a vintage feel!  I don't know about you, but when I think of vintage Christmas cards *GLITTER* comes to mind!  Lots and lots of glittery shimmery goodness!

I have nothing that could be thought of as "vintage" in my stash so off to Pinterest I went!  I found so many images that I may be making vintage cards well into the future!!  Here are a couple that I loved!

I used star dust stickles for both and many different scraps and sentiments laying around!  Both sentiments are from Unity Stamp Co.  Flowers are from my stash.  Here are more pictures of the sparkle!!

These two make a total of 27 so far for this year!!!

Sketchy!

The latest post from Jingle Belles is based on a sketch!  Use the sketch to create some Christmas card masterpieces!

Lauren, I loved your first card and used it as a basis for my woodland critter card!  Both cards used recycled cards from previous years!

Happy Earth Day!

In celebration of Earth Day, Jingle Belles asks us to create cards using recycled elements.  These cards were created with all recycled or previously owned material.....nothing new!

Pictures were recycled Christmas cards from previous years, all papers used were pulled from the "scrap box" (including the gold and silver paper too) at my feet!

Three Kings

Day late, but hopefully not a dollar short!!  Missed the Jingle Belles challenge by "this much!"  At least they are done!

Cannibalized a few cards from previous years for these two!  The theme was "three kings"....meaning three of something!  Three snowflakes and three reindeer!

Black/White POP! of color

Unity Stamp Co. Mini Challenge is to create a card using Unity Stamps, black and white with a POP! of color.

Here's my take on it......

I used Tulip Wishes and a sentiment from Sweet Elle.  Patterned paper is Echo Park Fashionista.  Sequins are Bella Creationz.  For the sentiment, I used washi tape to mask the bottom half which said "make a wish" and only used the top part.  Embossed with WOW! Neutral
Ultra Shimmer Embossing Glitter.  Used an old MFT Sketch from 2014.

#putabirdonit!

I'm all about the hashtags!!  LOL  For Jingle Belles it's a rockin' robin (or cardinal in this case) this time around!  Requirement is to #putabirdonit!

Patterned paper used is My Minds Eye "I Believe."  I have quite the stash of 12 x 12 paper that I have yet to cut up.  This collection is from *gulp* 2010!  I cut out an extra glittered bird to pop up on top of another!  Twine from May Arts and sentiment is from Bella Creationz.

Fa-la-la-la-la

The current challenge at Jingle Belles is to bring on the music!  As in sheet music, notes, musical instruments to be incorporated on your submission.

After searching Pinterest (it's what I do) I found a beautiful creation!  I recreated it as best I could!  Thanks for looking!

Paper and metallic ribbon used are both from Tim Holtz.  The music paper was printed.  The sequins and twine are from Bella Creationz.  Paper clips are from my stash!

That's two more cards for my December sanity! :)

All that glitters.......

Being a dance mom...."glitter" is usually everywhere!  So the challenge at Jingle Belles was super appropriate with dance competition in full swing!

Two cards for this one!  I used Unity Stamp Co. "Winter, joy, peace, love (which doesn't appear to be available any longer) and a Bella Creationz sentiment.  Patterned paper is Tim Holtz as is the ribbon and the WOW! Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing glitter is what makes it's SPARKLE!  The Snowflake and some of the splatter is glittery, which didn't really photograph well and the ribbon is silver metallic.

The most wonderful time of the year!!

My daughter is a competitive dancer!  There I've said it!  Ugh.....hair spray, sequins, rhinestones, false eyelashes, hair pins, fishnet tights, lots of cheering, some tears, but always lots of love!!

In two days (Friday the 22) is their first competition of the year and we're getting super excited and have gifts for her big and little dance sisters!  I made her cards to give to them for encouragement!

Used Unity Stamp Co. Hang in There Lady, painted on some stardust stickles, sequins from Bella Creationz.  Good luck to them all!!

In good shape!!

As I said in my previous post, Jingle Belles request is to create a shaped card.

I've created two different shapes, with two cards each.....that's 4 cards in one week!  WHAT?!?!

Crazy I know! LOL

The gingerbread house was my first thought, but I figured too many pieces, it would take too long.  It actually took less time that the wreaths in the previous post and SUPER DUPER CUTE!!

Again used scraps laying around for the pieces, cut on my Cricut Expression using the Create a Critter 2 cart.  Due to the dreary-ness of our weather here today, you cannot see the stickles all over the roof!!

Thanks for looking!!
